PPP Costumes

Well it looks liek maybe I am going to PPP afterall so I made my costume this weekend.

I am sure most of you have seen the famous "Mr. Magnum Head" photo of me last year.

So this year I decided to go with somehting similar yet different.

So I give you "Mr. Dragster Head"

Just wondering what anyone else is planning this year.

If I was part of a coaster, I would be an upstop pad on an Arrow Mine Train.

That's awesome. I wish I was creative enough to do something cool.

You should throw some tires and the theming on the back of it or put them around your waist. I'unno. People are already going to love the hat. I do!

Ahahaha. That's great. I wish I thought of something like that. Now all you need to do is get a sign that says "Cedar Point regrets to inform you that Top Thrill Dragster is down for mechanical difficulties" and wear off and on throughout the night. Good job on the hat though!

as always,
Vote Bob.

Im probably not going to wear a costume.. or I can be a "Phoenix Whore" :). I wonder what i would need to wear....

But not regarding costumes, I have a question. I was reading throught the PPP Info and it said "RSVP by September 1st" so I thought Dang, now I cant go, so i read through it again and in some place it said "1pm Registration at Round Stand". I may sound like a SPED, but what statment should I follow? thanks..

They just want to get an idea of how many people are going Josh. I forgot to register too but it really doesnt matter. Just walk up to the roundstand and pay.

Yeah, the RSVP is just to they have a rough idea. There's no pre-registration required.

Start practicing your rollbacks and be sure to have your theme-action launching slick tires.

What time does the water show start?

Be sure to complete it with double duce action!

Wow, nicely done. Jeff beat me to the "bouncing tires" joke.

--Greg, who's looking forward to PPP and hoping there aren't any tasteless "SFoG Grounds Crew" style costumes this year...

If there weren't ANY tasteless costumes, it just wouldn't be PPP...;)

bill, thinks the PKI landscaping crew is "within bounds"...as long as you're not a suspended coaster....:)

When I was still thinking I was able to go I was planning on going as an Arrow suspended train and Kristin was planning on going as a truck.

We planned to run at each other from across the midway and collide sometime during the evening.

I wouldn't see poking fun at the Top Gun v. Truck incident as tasteless at all. The SFoG B:TR incident was a bit tasteless (yet still got a chuckle). There's a big difference: one was sheer stupidity where nobody got hurt, one was a breakdown in protocol where somebody did.

So MagForce...how much "downtime" will you experience at PPP....? ;)

Probably about as much downtime as M:TR... ;)

Then again, his girlfriend might have something to say about _that_. ;)

Didn't someone come as an injured member of the Lake Compounce grounds crew a few years back, after the person that was landscaping beneath the coaster got hit and killed by a passing train?

Not to be a prude, but whether or not people were following protocol or not, I think that there should at least be a few years in between the time of a deadly amusement park accident and when people start making light of it at PPP. I don't think that a parody of the Holiday World incident would be appropriate.
