Possible replacement of Viper at SFGADV

You didn't, I did that all myself :).

You said 'complainers', actually. What I said still applies ;).

You're missing the point, mOOSH. :)

While SFDL has received new attractions since Superman I'd say with the last new coaster in 1999 its time for a new one.
BGW's last coaster was also in 1999 and no one complains about that. How odd....

Actually I have seen complaints about BGW's lack of a new coaster. I'd say its time for a new one there, too ;)

BGW is getting a super-ride this year, so you can't complain about them... a multi-multi million dollar somewhat coaster-like 3D experience? I definately woudln't complain... the wait would have been well worth it!

Not to mention that they got 2 B&M's... quality ones...

BUT... for BGW... I would kinda complain that since 1999, they lost 2 coasters (Drachen Fire & their wild mouse). Bummer.

IMHO saying a park like BGW is in need of a new coaster is not a complaint, its an observation.

If they were to take out BBW (which has been a rumor for years), could you imagine a wooden coaster that flies down toward the river? It would be breathtaking.

Down the hill and turning over the water like BBW after the second lift?

Hmmm.

Drops down the hill and turns over the water...

...hmmm...

Hercules! ;)

Taking out BBW would be a disastrous mistake....with the loss of the mouse, it is THE family coaster left at BGW. To say nothing of the fact that it's still the best suspended ever built.

And as LG hinted at, there's no need to build ANOTHER Herc-and-Jerk.

Maybe Viper should be put INTO the river at BGW?

I have to agree: BBW is the best coaster in the park and still hugely popular with guests. There are other places the woodie can go and still drop to the water.
So we are all in agreement that Hercules was a *good* thing right? Damn CF for removing it!

Wood would be good at Busch Gardens...there seems to be a lot of land there unused, at least walking around the park, it seems that way. What about out beyond Roman Rapids, or the other side of the river from BBW? Next to Alpengeist? There has to be room to build a new coaster. After all, look where Hershey managed to squeeze in Storm Runner...granted while a lot of that ride is high up in the air, over other attractions, they still managed to make it fit...so who's not to say they couldn't fit a nice woodie in there among the other rides?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

I'ma have to respectfully disagree with you there Gates. Having ridden all but one of the Nothern American suspendeds I think PCW's Vortex still kix major tukus! Not that Big Bad Bear ain't good, but that trim on the last drop...ghastly!!!

Fate is the path of least resistance.

I think Antuan meant to say Big Bad Wolf, instead Big Bad Bear ;), might as well turn this thread into a mother goose fairy tale. And to answer your question rhino Vortex and Top Gun I belive are the same but don't quote me on that. I have rode both but I just can't remember at the moment if they are. I just checked out the stats quickly on rcdb Vortex is a few feet higher/faster/ and a longer ride duration. *** Edited 4/27/2005 1:51:48 AM UTC by SFDLdan***

Haven't been to PCW yet though, 'Tuan....my last N American Paramount park, will be rectifying that in....about 5 weeks! :)

The name Vortex doesn't exactly get my expectations up though, ROFL...;)

But even if I come off PCW's suspended impressed by the ride, it can't have THAT theming? And you KNOW I gotta have my theming!

bill, closet fan of suspendeds, LOL...really good family rides - do wish people wouldn't call them *inverted* though, that's confusing...

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
