Possible replacement of Viper at SFGADV

What do you think can be put into place where Viper is after Viper gets deconstructed and replaced to SFDL (or so I heard)? I read from screamscape.com that after they take down Viper, they were going to replace the area with more attractions, however did not mention anything about a new coaster.

In my opinion, I think they should build a western themed 300 ft S&S Tower in that area and maybe another big thrill ride behind it also western themed. Or if it could be possible they could maybe add a giant impulse coaster.

What do you guys think?

As much as I love the Impulse coasters and want to see more of them, I think they are pretty much dead. Too much maintenance and reengineering on the towers...

Where did you hear about Viper going to SFDL? They'd have to rename it since we have an Arrow looper here by the same name... Man, I hope after 6 years of waiting for a new coaster (since SRoS) that this TOGO P.O.S. isn't our reward. But then again, I'm the guy who's been saying to give us Flashback from SFMM and Tidal Wave from SFMW, so I guess that's just karma, sending us someone else's junk...

ShaneD....Flashback, Viper, I'll accept that those are second-hand pieces of junk that NO ONE really wants (well, maybe SFAW, but that's another story)....but an Anton shuttle, that is *treasure*, no trash...

I'd have said a tall shot/drop tower, but now with KK on the horizon, won't a big tower LOOK small by comparison?

Gator- Now I know an Anton ShuttleLoop is a treasure, I agree 100% there. I was amazed by Montezooma's Revenge when I was at KBF, it's the only ShuttleLoop I've ridden. But how long has Tidal Wave been sitting in that lot now? That's why I put it in that "junk" category. One man's garbage is another man's gold, as they say...

Heh, that would be a shame if DL got Viper. That thing needs to be BURNED TO "TEH" GROUND! :)

GAdv needs some high capacity flats badly, there just isnt much else other than coasters there. Maybe a drop tower and a Huss ride?

I could honestly see a four tower combo ride from
S&S. Of course it would be the worlds largest since they've joined that mix.

I like to dream so if all possible they could get rid of stuntman's freefall and replace it with the S&S tower, squeeze in a Huss frisbee somewhere and try to fit a decent stand-up in(Thank God its about time they destroyed)Viper's place.

i hope SFKK gets viper. They could make it run flawlessly!

Clone Alton's Spinball Whizzer and I'd definitely move to Jersey just to be closer!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I'd love a stand-up coaster in there...but I don't think it would fit...but a nice drop tower would work!

The last stand-up at GAdv barely *Escaped* to Houston...a high-capacity spinny coaster (read: FAMILY ride) would be a great replacement....and it would bring 'Tuan to the Garden State...;)

Sure I've been complaining about SFDL's neglect and I'm not picky, but I'd hate to have that ride.

A shuttle loop like SFKK got, sure that would be awesome because we don't have a launched coaster. They are smooth and fun. But not viper...please..

Aw, they aren't going to dump it off of a pier in Atlantic City? I figured that *only* a burial by sea would be in the best wishes of good 'ol Viper.

The rumor has been floating around that Viper will be going to SFDL for 2006...

A lot of you b@stards are going to say "ok, now shut up you whiny babies... you got your new coaster"... but I may beg to differ.
Although I haven't ridden it yet, I've heard that maybe 80% of the reviews for this coaster are negative. It's too rough, too painful, just too horrible. Only a few can tolerate it & actually enjoy it.

It's a '95 TOGO, right? Can it really be all that bad if it's relocated?
If the rumors are true & it goes to Darien Lake... is this the new Batman coaster they've been rumored to get all these years?? :) :)

It hurts like hell, I wouldn't want that coaster anywhere...but forget dumping it off of an A.C. Pier...take it out to the middle of the ocean and dump it off out there :)
