Why would SFDL need/want a looping coaster that is smaller (and most likely) a poorer ride experience than their current (enjoyable) looper? SFDL and Seabreeze are my home parks; I'd much rather ride Whirlwind than SFGAdv's reject.

Of course, UBRhino really has *no idea* whether or not SFDL is getting the coaster. He's just promoting mindless speculation. It's a waste of time really, and I'm sure the park doesn't appreciate the stupid rumor spreading. Isn't this a violation of TOS?

I was implying that speculating what Darien Lake is getting is a violation of TOS.

This discussion sounds like a violation to me. If you REALLY believe the guy who told you--the same guy who has lied constantly in the past-- then you deserve to believe that crap.

And yes, I do think the park cares. You're basically saying they're getting a new coaster next year. If the park DOESN'T get a new coaster then you're leading people to disappointment.

I just think you're being irresponsible. Your signature sounds so certain. It's certain enough that someone believes you and started a thread on Coasterbuzz.

He's not the only person to imply that Viper is going to Great Adventure, I've heard it from multiple sites. I dont think the park would care much either. Every year you hear enthusiasts go "I hope this year my park gets a coaster" and most of the time it doesnt happen. If they were really worried about letting anybody down they would build a dozen coasters a year of different types, install 30 flats again with variety, and never remove anything. Nothing pleases everyone.

Viper is gone. The point behind this thread is to think of what can replace it, the DL discussion evolved off on the side.

But, anyway, I'm glad that you joined this site just to complain about UBRhino's sig. :)

IF UBRhino had STARTED a thread to speculate about SFDL getting Viper, then LIKELY one of the mods would lock the thread, or maybe delete it...

What say we let those who are entrusted with the site make sure its properly fed and bathed, mkay?

God forbid anyone took all of my "idle speculating" as fact, LOL....but I've been lucky enough to tag a few installations here and there, and it harms NO ONE, not even the parks in question...

bill, *pretty sure* that my Wave Swinger guess didn't make HallowSwings any more or less popular at HW...my guess on the S&S tower, however, definitely had an adverse effect on attendance...;)

SFDL has TONS of land... People don't realize that they own a lot of the land that lies outside the "park boundaries." But if you want to put it "inside the park," there are a lot of options. You could go back by Twister. You could go out towards the first helix of SRoS. You could go back by Mind Eraser and Grizzly Run. SFDL has a thing for putting coasters over water, so it could go over Darien Lake (next to Predator) or behind the ferris wheel. There's the whole end of the Superman Midway, back towards where the Brutal Planet haunted house is during FrightFest... There are options... But again, I'm still hoping they don't get Viper, if it's half as nasty as people say...

First of all who cares where that piece of crap goes as long as I never see it again. Second why would they put a huss fribee in when they got rid of the one they had. I personally would like to see a bigger version of Pandemonium go in vipers place. As for a S&S tower I've been saying the should have put one in in the spot where Evolution was after they got rid of it 2yrs ago. For some reason it seems SFGRADV gets rid of more rides then any other park.

The speculation about Viper's relocation from Great Adventure to another park was obtained from a couple other sources. Right now, it's still that... just a rumor... but these "sources" have been pretty reliable, and if you think about it... the coaster has to go somewhere, right?
Where else would it go that's somewhat close by & needs a coaster? Great Escape? Yes, but that was dismissed by several employees there. New England? Not since they got Mr. Six. Darien Lake is the next closest & hasn't recieved a coaster since the 20th century! :)

I rode the TOGO stand-up at PCW & I didn't walk off with a headache! (although my feet & knees did hurt)

Yeah...it's pretty bad. I am actually one of the people who didn't really mind Viper, but even I have to admit it's a horrible coaster. It does have a great first drop, though. But that's about it. All I can say is - WATCH OUT FOR THAT LAST TURN! ;)

Sounds like a good fit for SFNO, Our Batman has only one train running since the park has opened..Viper, Lot of repairs , hurts, undependable. The Maintenace team would love it, Job security all season long, But first we have to get B;tr up and running with both trains so they can concentrate on Viper.LOL

I see nothing wrong with UB's sig...I took it as a joke! The SFDL fans are always complaining that the park gets nothing new -- and with the last new coaster now 6 years ago they're starting to be right. UB is making a joke that their next new coaster will be this POS from SFGAdv.

Its akin to my Shock/Wave joke from a few years back.

I honestly believe this one will sleep wit da fishes...Paramount didn't save KC, and this coaster is a million times worse off.....of course, they DID paint it recently, and SFI can't afford to waste good paint, LOL...;)

Moosh FINALLY agrees with us SFDL "whiners" that us not getting a coaster since 1999 is FINALLY being seen as being deprived? That we can't milk the campground & theater year after year and keep turning over a "big profit"?

If you look at the 2004 data, SFDL did indeed loose yet another 100,000 peeps from 2003 (which continues the steady & increasing decline as noted many times before about this park since the peek of 1.7mil in 1999)

No where in that post did Moosh give anybody permission to whine. No one ever disagreed that SFDL wasn't getting new stuff, just that we don't want to hear you whine. That still applies, BTW.
