PKI major announcement soon.

Red and steel grey.

I guess it will look like stealth, but have a different name.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

^ Stealth was mostly white, with a red spine. I think Firehawk is going to be an all red track.
Man, what is with CF and red coasters? ;)

Just kidding.

The real question is what is with CF and rides ending in "hawk"? :)

^ I don't know about that. I think both of your questions are equally valid. No, really. I want to know why. What is up with all the red and birds of prey.

Im sure the PKI Returnee party is listed all over the net. They announced to them last night that it was firehawk.

That may be, but the point is that "announcing" it at a rehire party to returning EMPLOYEES is no more of an announcement than Dick Kinzel telling Greg Scheid he's going to get it is. It may confirm the rumors into it's-going-to-happen status in a lot of people's minds, but it is NOT an announcement. The argument was that the public ANNOUNCEMENT was going to be February 5th, not February 3rd. So whoever said it was on the 3rd was flat out WRONG! (And Feb 5th was absolutely right! :))

Edit: I should have read all the new posts since my last one before saving my post. :)

Congratulations KI on your 14th coaster. lets just hope it looks okay, and isnt to hard to find. *** Edited 2/5/2007 2:01:28 PM UTC by Coasterkid200***

Timbers crew 08

The scary thing will be the capacity... On the press release, they list it as using 2 24 passengers trains and PPH will be... 400!!! EDIT: I misread... it said 400 per train... Still, that's not much for a park like PKI. *** Edited 2/5/2007 3:08:13 PM UTC by Absimilliard***

What's next Lightninghawk? ;)

Mohawk ? HaHa

SFA often runs Batwing with two trains using two stations. As long as the ops are moving, this seems to drive people throught the line pretty quickly. My guess is that this is how KI will opperate their ride: 2 trains on 2 stations. The only reason Batwing seems to have a line is because the ride is always breaking down, if KI can keep the breakdowns to a minimum, they should be all set to go.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

It can run 2 trains 2 stations no problem, the real question is will they try for 3.
Where'd the 14 come from? I thought Firehawk was #13? Or did I miss one...

I can't believe this thing is supposed to be up and open by the end of May! I know I saw pics of land clearing but has any vertical construction started at all??

I was thinking the same thing dannerman. Unless they're counting Avatar as a coaster, there are only 13 with Firehawk.

The one Vekoma flyer that got relocated went through some *upgrading* to improve capacity/reliability. Of course, I don't know how much *improvement* occurred on VEKOMA's end between Stealth and Batwing/X-Flight.

But given the attendance levels at PKI vs. those at GL, IF it were me making the decisions (it's not, LOL), I'd make CERTAIN that Firehawk has the utmost in reliability ADN in capacity.... ;)

Oh, and KI can count Avatar as a coaster if they want, it's THEIR ride. I'm not counting it for ME... :)

Online animation of Firehawk given to the press. I haven't ridden it since the WOA days and remembered the chest restraints being more like a vest. Does everyone who rides really have to dress like that? :)

It seems like Stealth would have been a good name, and fit with the ride going next to FOF. Does Paramount hold rights to calling a coaster Stealth? I've wondered about some of the names like Top Gun, Drop Zone and Face/Off, all terms in general use before the Paramount films.

Is this the animation that was done for Stealth? Seems very old school in terms of animation. Also, I'd imagine that there won't be any lowering of the trains on the lift, since there never was (in my memory) any of that at GL.

Alternatively, you COULD ride shirtless.... ;)

I think that horse was fixin' to get back up... :)

Yep, that's definately Stealth. X-Flight has two rolls at the end whereas Stealth and the animation have the two corkscrews. Anyways, I hope they change Firehawk to be nearly as efficient as Borg ended up being.

Yep, that's stealth, the animation was on extreme rides 2000 for it.
