It says to be on the lookout for a major announcement. I wonder what it could be?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.

Just kidding....it's a Gator nation, kids... :)
Oh, and I still think it's weird that they're PARAMOUNT King's Island...might give us a clue as to the *accounting structure* inside of CF....recalling the thread when there was discussion about how GL would be *credited* for the value of X-Flight and PKI would be *charged* for it...
I noticed that you can purchase admission online for $29.95. Is that more or less then in the past?

...but still how much does it really cost to fix supports and get new trains.
A couple of million easily. Trains are quite expensive....in fact, the single most expensive part of any coaster. Everything else is either planks of wood or chunks of steel.
Still, don't underestimate the cost of the work/retracking, etc. SOB has already had millions upon millions dumped into upkeep. ALthough I don't have a source handy, I've read that 6 years of work have almost equaled the initial costof the ride.

Well ther park has to do other improvements to make the park up to Cedar Fair standards
What? Like rip out all of the trees and pave over every remaining square yard of grass?

LOL. It's funny because it's true. Knott's Berry Farm is a prime example. A park that used to pulled part of its beautiful atmosphere and charm from large patches of beautiful lawns now more closely resembles a permanent fairground.

From my perspective, Cedar Fair could learn a lot more from things Paramount was doing although I do believe CF will be a lot more realistic as far as new attraction additions go overall. Paramount never quite got that new ride capacity thing right for any of their parks even if general park capacity was solid.
