PKI in ACE News...

Give Paramount a few months to downsize the project with the usual cuts in their capital budget. The B&M may be a Vekoma Rollerskater by next August. But, they may be ready for a B&M. Other than Top GUn at PGA, does Paramount have any other B&M's?

The stand-ups, AJ...Vortices, relatively *forgettable* if you asked for my take on them...which you didn't, but when has that stopped me before...;)

Thnaks for the update. I don't get to Paramount Parks too often. I did like the Grizzly and Volcano in Virginia, and Vortex and Beast at PKI. The good ole days.

As far as the PKI blurb goes.....I guess we will just have to wait until the park is open for the season to see if we can see any visible changes regarding possible "future expansion." =:^)

So did Area 51 head south for 2003?? :)

A B&M speed coaster would be great, but I have dreamed for years about "The Bat's Revenge!!!" It could be a B&M inverted or flying and it could be located behind the Vortex( The Vortex is now on the site of the Bat).
I'm praying for an inverted hyper. Can you imagine the speed you'd get on it! I'm guessing the rides will go to PKI, PCW, and PGA.

Doesn't Kings Island already have Area 51 (or hanger 18, its all the same) with Flight of Fear and that area?

What was not mentioned is besides B&M, there have been other MAJOR steel coaster designers/fabricators visiting PKI over the past year as well....

My best guess?

Nemesis...

from Star Trek.

Yes, I know there is one in Europe, but Paramount Parks has a license agreement for the Star Trek movie.

I love how people jump to the conclusion that if B&M [or any steel coaster company] were seen visiting the park a hyper [or taller] must be coming.

LMAO ;)

PKI also lacks a stand-up, a flyer, and a vertical drop coaster.

Moosh - still trying to understand why PKI is incomplete w/o a steel hyper.

Moosh...It's not that PKI lacks a steel hyper, IMO they lack airtime. Yes Racer has some, and Vortex provides great air on the first drop, but they don't have an airtime machine. I also don't think that a standup will ever come back to PKI. And I don't expect a flyer or vertical drop coaster to be built anytime soon. I'm even gonna say I'd suspect a Vekoma or Giovanola tilt be built before a Vertical Drop from B&M.
