PKI in ACE News...

I just received the latest issue of ACE News in the mail today, and here's a little something I found interesting... and I quote...

Speaking of B&M, we're probably not supposed to report that the gentlemen from Switzerland were recently known to pay a visit - and not their first, for sure - to a certain favorite theme park in the northeastern out-skirts of Cincinnati. Dare we speculate what magic, what things, what - (HEY, WHO PULLED THE PLUG?)

... and they follow in the next "Speed Bump" by adding...

Oh, what the heck, we're probably in trouble already; let's go way out on a limb and say it wouldn't be a suprise to hear major 2004 ride announcements from two, and maybe three paramount Parks even before the 2003 season is in full swing; our guess is by June, the latest.

Hmmmmmm...... ;)

If it was only two parks, I would guess PGA and PKI. But three... PCW is up for something big! I didn't get my ACE News yet, so thanks for sharing Aaron. Paramount has my attention... :)

-Danny

PGA? PCW? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA. ;)

I'm hoping it's Carowinds. They need another B&M. :) Especially a B&M speed coaster.

Wouldn't it be so nice for ANOTHER coaster. Jeez...

1998 - Taxi Jam
1999 - Top Gun
2000 - Super Saturator
2001 - n/a
2002 - Ricochet
2003 - Reptar
2004 - B&M speed coaster
2005 - skip year, just like 2001

Hmm, looks like it. :)

You're just jealous Will and if name-calling was allowed here... oh, what the heck, you're Crottezilla! ;)

Carowinds is up for 3 straight years of flat rides!! hahahahaha

Just kidding. Best of luck to PC and a major new addition. *cough* Huss Jump 2 *cough*

Hey. Althought this is a great topic I just wanted to point out the part about Cheryl Snyder written by Sean in the front cover. I miss her already. :(

Hopefully PKD adds something big in 2003 so I'll have an excuse for my parents to go there again :)

Ah sorry, I meant 2004.

Well, hopefully this doesnt fall through, because I have heard things like this in the past (anyone remember the fun times with TR?) but I dont think Siebert will let us down. Any idea why they would announce it almost a year in advance? They can do prep work without announcing.

.....Yeah, I think that smoke is supposed to be there.....

Coastering will not be the same without Cheryl and I will miss her. I do know that she would want all of us to continue to enjoy parks and friendships formed from them as she did.

Chuck, who is guessing Speedcoaster as PKI already has two sitdown loopers and 4 inverts.

Ooooh, I can just imagine a B&M terrain speed coaster going through the back woods of PKI. Can you say, "Number one steel coaster"? :)

I"m still hoping for that custom designed invert that will blow away all others. Though the terrain speed coaster would rock my world as well. Whatever it is, as long as its from B&M I say bring it on.

Yea, I am going to have to say I would like a speed coaster that zooms through the woods. They wouldn't have to tear our a lot of trees either. Hopefully we could break the steel length record. I know it would cost a lot but think how good it would be :). Anyone want to share their thoughts on B&M Speed Coasters?

The one thing all Paramount parks have in common is they don't have a hyper, unless you want to count SOB as a hyper.

Your not the only one Charlie. I miss her every single day. She was a very special person and I will not forget her.

Bob, Cheryl's husband sent me a nice card today. Greg, her son, dropped by two days ago and we spent the day watching most of the footage I have of Cheryl. The family is doing much better since December.

As far as the PKI blurb goes.....I guess we will just have to wait until the park is open for the season to see if we can see any visible changes regarding possible "future expansion." =:^)

From what I have heard SOB is the world first hyper wooden coaster at PKI. If they do build a coaster look in Action Zone or Behind The Racers.
I hope it's not in Action Zone, that place is way too full as it is.

This has just made my day! PKI needs a B&M, preferably a hyper!

Somebody in ace feel's important with that published bit of info. Now they will all fight at the next gathering to brag who knew first on the alledged coaster. Woo-Hoo.

"Every Man Has Got to Know His Limitations"

How tall is B&M willing to build? What is their maximum height limit? Are they willing to build over 318' (SD2K)? Why did they turn down CP's request for a HUGE giga-twister and went with Intamin instead? Not that Intamin is bad because they are my favorite ride designers and B&M is a close second for me in the steelie department! Jeff Seibert(sp?) was hinting on the last ride of the beast about a 3rd attraction in the works throwing teasers about land clearings by the Beast and another one by SOB. Anyone know how long the stretch is between the two land clearings?
