Looks like a Huss Giant Frisbee to me (no surprise there). Of course, it *could* be an Intamin Gyro Swing but I'm pretty sure PKI went with Huss again.

Here's a movie of what the ride will be like. (possibly) http://www.hussrides.com/digitalvideo/quicktime/Delirium.mov It looks okay, but the frisbee looks better to me. O well, I'm glad we are getting something.
I'm pretty sure PKI is not getting the Huss Delirium. I think they're only the same in name, so the park should be getting a Giant Frisbee. To me, this and Scooby Doo is a lot more than just "something". I think a lot more families will be as or even more excited about this than what PKI has added the past 3 years. This is even more icing on the cake!
And we're FINALLY getting more flat rides. Thank you, PKI! Keep 'em comin'! :) (Not that they shouldn't build anymore coasters. :) )

Here's my take.... PKI may end up getting the Intiman Gyro Swing instead of the Huss version. From what I know Huss's version doesn't have your feet dangling like Intiman's. From the drawing, it looks like they are. PKI is also in line for a Hyper of possibly a giga next aswell. Which possibly could be a Intiman. Could this start a relationship between the two? Also a Gyro Swing might look better in contrast with Drop Zone, also an Intiman!

I am glad they finally decided to release the info. They have been sitting on it for a while.

PKI is indeed getting the world's first Huss Giant Frisbee. It will have outward facing seats, and as I understand it, a very unique loading platform. The ride will hold about 50 riders at once, will fill the vacant KC lot, and will swing outwards towards the Action Zone entrance.

Intamin is not involved... and the name is indeed Delirium. Look for it to now be featured in the park maps for October/Fearfest.

Finally, although Scooby and Delirium are the two lead attractions for 2003, there are other surprises in store at the park that will be un-announced.

Shaggy

Outward facing seats sounds painful! I love being on a Frisbee, but it spins fast enough that you're you're really pressed back into your seat. I'd hate to think how painful it'd be to be pressed out against your restraints!

It doesn't spin that fast and that many times. Remember bigger usually means larger sweeping sensations not faster and tighter.

Huss version is the biggest of the Giant Frisbees and i think it can spin faster than the other versions. The ride should be filled with alot of airtimes when reaching a top angle at 120 degrees.

I hope Huss could build some Giant rides in europe too. :(

It CAN spin faster, but it won't as they know that will make people sick and turn them off to it like a certain other Huss Giant ride
When does construction start for Delrium? I need to update PKI Zone soon here.

Well if it were to spin fast, and because of you sitting face out, it could be a major problem for men. Thankgoodness it won't ;)

I know I'm happy with this, but I still have a part wishing it was a Intamin.

Shaggy, do you know if it will actually have a theme ot not?

I doubt it will have much of a theme. Expect bright colors ala other Action Zone rides.

Check the PGA site for what will probably be the same logo.

I do not expect construction to begin until after the season ends.

Are these surpises a new pathway to action zone? A octoberfest revival? Star Trek earth tour (again)? Top Gun spiffied up for year 10? Covering for SOB line? Tower getting painted? Sob Finally getting tunnels. New SOB trains? Raised floor on FOF removed? Themed uniforms on employees again? PKI finally fessing up about what REALLY happend to top gun (search PKI unlimited for that one)?
Floorless (Suspended non looping floorless For those who want to be specific)?
Another shocking (But this time unexpected) ride removal of a certain Blue and orange ride in coney? Klingons in the park again?

Ok thats all I can think of. Shaggy please tell us somthing!

Wow, these in specific got MY attention....all great upgrades...PKI never stops improving...:)

THEY BETTER NOT TAKE DOWN THAT BLUE AND ORANGE THING IN CONEY! That ride is the best of all times!....besides KC which they took down aswell! All the other things I wouldn't mind seeing!

King's Island still should have gotten a coaster. Yeah, you people can say it is a bad business move all you want but then again you are prob. the same people who say that Cincinnati should not push out a million dollars to pay the fines so they could have Pete Rose at the last game ceremony. Because it would be a waste of money and a bad business move. Shame on you people. Shame. When them people chanted "Let in Pete," it made me think let in a new coaster.
Think about that for a second. That blue and orange thing that they got just got painted less than a season ago, and you think that they would let that money go straight down the drain?!?
