If you lose your cell phone in there, don't go in after it. It's gone...

When I first saw Andy's comment, I thought I'd mis-clicked and gone on the MiA sewer thread...

Wow! Amazing photos, thanks for sharing.

That rickety wooden plank bridge in the first the newest photos reminds me of my favorite childhood board game, Fireball Island.

It looks amazing, but so does Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Just sayin'. :)

That's true, but here you compare a multi lunch coaster vs a family ride and more importantly a family run park with a multi billion $ company.

We do not have that many family run parks in this world that care about theming to this extent anymore. What Phantasialand did in the past 10 years is quite amazing(Chiapas, Talocan, Black Mamba, Maus, Winja force &fear(very innovative rides), Hotel Tartüff.) They actually beat Disney with Maus au chocolate vs Toy Story Mania, same ride system, they just did it better.

There is no way you can compare Disneyworld with Phantasialand as the later is way to small to be a competition, but what they did in the past years) is very innovative and the attention to detail amazing.

Can't they both just look amazing without there being any competition involved?

I think so

That was my favorite childhood game also. I still have it and play it with my kids now. They love it.

....and we thought the old "CP vs. SFMM competition" was...challenging.

^Yeah Phantasialand is like that.

Ok, so I'll be the first to ask. What's with the bubble wrap?

Edit: Seriously, this place is like real-life Legend of Zelda.

Stress relief for the workers constructing it.

Phantasialand is very secretive(we really do not know a lot about this Project), they do not want us to know that they are building a coaster ;-)

Nah, they actually stated that the bubble wrap is because of the extensive theming around the track. This is a way to prevent any damage thru paint or concrete that is being poured all around the coaster.

In addition to that tangled mess of tracks, the current rumor is that they will squeeze a Vekoma Junior Coaster in the project as well! I can only imagine the headchoppers and interactions with Taron that other coaster will have.

The rumor of a Vekoma Junior Coaster addition in the Klugheim area looks like to be true.(pic credit:coasterfriends.de)

You would think that if they were willing to trust Intamin with the main ride, they would let them do a smaller coaster also for ease.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Maybe it's just the angle, but that looks like some serious kid head choppers there.
Hmmmm. Now I like this ride even more.

A couple of new pictures from different perspectives to show the dimension of this project

Every footer looks like to be themed

Here is a view towards the other side of the coaster that I think have not been posted yet here

Digging a tunnel, we have no clue for what it is for as Taron will not go thru there, maybe the Vekoma Kiddie Coaster?

The village of "Klugheim" is starting to be build. This area is on top of the transfer track

No clue what this will become...

Construction site is a huge mess. The logistics for this project must be immense.

WOW. This is amazing.

and... At this stage "Mummy" might be an appropriate name for the coaster.

This construction site is very fascinating as we know next to nothing, I will try to keep this thread going if people are interested.(All pictures courtesy of freizeitparknrw and phantafriends.de)

Rumors go wild right now as we are all confused on what is going on. Newest rumor is that this will be the entrance to the coaster. I doubt it, but it would be amazing.

The newest confusion comes from the next picture. Why are they digging this deep? You can see the footers for Taron above, so the coaster will not go thru there. Second coaster? Walkway? Waterfalls?

Some track has been unwrapped, you can barely see it now.....can not wait for the end result

Attention to detail is typical for Phantasialand

Last picture is just for fun.....
