It was one heck or a ride back then, wasn't it? I did that too. It makes me sad to see how it is today!

I waited nearly 8 hours this past Sunday to ride SOB.
You are a "coaster-psycho!" ;) Longest wait for me? Hmmm... Riddlers Revenge, Valentines day, 1999. 3 hours. Total torture. Great ride, though. My wife just stood off in the distance, and waited. She is something, eh? Now she regrets it, but hey, back then she was afraid. Not anymore.:) Longest wait, but not in line was last summer at Nagashima Spaland. Waited 6 hours for SD2K to open, but spent it in a warm salt water pool. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Tripower? Better click here to find out.
Was not able to ride due to mechanic issue:
TR:TR- 4 Hours (Season Pass Preview Day). The ride was down that night but we were allowed to go into the cave up through the preshow.
Was able to ride:
FOF- 3 1/2 Hours. This was on a summer Saturday during its premier season.

An hour and 45 minutes for Raptor the first season. I tend to hit the most popular coasters first thing in the morning, so my waits are generally not more than an hour. Raptor was worth waiting for the first season.

The longest I had ever waited up until the year 2000 was 2 and a half hours for Ninja at SFMM in 1988. That was not a fun day at the park!
In 2000, that record was broken when I waited three hours to ride Millennium Force on Tuesday May 16th. I never thought lines would be that bad on a weekday in May. I obviously thought wrong! Thankfully everything else in the park was a walk-on.
And in 2001, the record was broken yet again as I waited 3 hours and 45 minutes to ride X-Flight on a Friday in early June at SFWoA. Keep in mind that I had already ridden it three times prior to that visit, but since a friend of mine was in town, I stuck it out and waited. I just hope this year the record isn't broken yet again!

Didnt happen, plain and simple!
Opening day 2000 S:ROS wasn't even finished
Opening day 2001 it was raining real hard and very few people around
Opening Day 2002 I walked onto S:ROS and lines were short all day.
Now if you're saying that you waited that long one day due to a breakdown, I might believe you (I'd be more willing to believe youif you had said Batwing). But I cannot believe that the line itself EVER got to 5 hours....not even on Latino/Latina day

Wow, this is an old one.
I waited 3 hours for Raging Bull one fine Saturday in August, 1999. That was including a couple shut downs.
I've been fortunate to be able to generaly avoid long waits. I waited an hour and fifteen minutes or so for PR last summer, and about the same for X in February (with Fast Lane).

It's funny a majority of these waits are for CP rides. My longest wait was 3.5 hrs for Magnum and I didn't even get to ride. We were on the steps and it was about 30 minutes before park closing and it broke down. About 20 minutes later they said it would be down for the night. That sucked but oh well sh*t happens. For those who waited hrs and hrs for Xflight last year, I can assure you the wait times this year will be a lot less.
