Patriot Goes Vertical!

Now that is a deffinet ride for me.I am a fan of inverted coasters.I hope it's like BatMan The Ride at SFGAmerica.

Well I am glad (in a sense) to know they ran out of track. Being ahead of schedule has to be a pretty good thing, as it seems to imply the coaster should open on time (note: I said 'should').

Yeah Tony, I agree, I was disappointed in the CU fans. I believe that our fans will remain adults when CU visits next year.

Hopefully I know I will. Hope its like Batman? Why? Almost every Six Flags has a Batman give me something different!!! (It's not like Batman BTW) I'm hearing it's like Talon Never Rode that don't know.

Information for Coaster Christmas (ACE Event):

• Track for Patriot will be finished during the first week of January
• Right half of Beat Street's building will be staying and will become an exit souvenir shop
• All of the bathrooms will be upgraded and renovated for the coming season
• Timberwolf will continue its extensive renovation project during the off season
• Rockin' Reeler is NOT coming back

And now for the big information:

• Worlds of Fun will start having an annual coaster event - COASTER MAYHEM - It will be May 20th and will feature morning ERT on Patriot and Spinning Dragons and night ERT on Mamba and TimberWolf.

AV, the plan right now is to be in Indiana on the 6th. :)

SVLFever, don't feel bad as I don't think I will get to go either as Missy is graduating from Illinois State that day with her Masters degree (I'm the day before at Mizzou with my Masters as well). Oh well. This will be an annual event and who says that this will be the ONLY event next year. ;)

According to Nick (WoF PR) this thing is going to have quite the lighting and sound system.

Also the reason why they went with the 7 as opposed to the 8 car train -- you are going to see this become more common as it has something to do with the stress on the ride itself and extending the life and smoothness of the ride.

Oh and Halloweekends will be expanded again next year. How long before WOF has to go extra gate like KBF? Last season's event was getting up to KBF's standards with their haunts and scare zones.

Well Congrats in advance Swoosh to you and Missy! A Masters degree is no easy task. I contemplated getting mine but thought I would go crazy with more school time. I might be able to do it now, but that's one commitment I don't know if I could do right now. Anyway, great job!

Are you hinting that there may be another event at WOF next year, or are you referring to Media Day? Also, what light and sound could this ride have? I mean, it's not like the structure is like MF, so where would they put a light package? The station???

AV - is the event at HW on May 6th? Is that for the Voyage? I think I might be able to get away that weekend....

No, the HW event is tentatively at the end of the month. May 6th is opening day. :)

Oh, and good work, WoF...with Patriot and Spinning Dragons, WoF is heading UP ni the feeding chain of CF parks...(take that, VF!)... ;)
