Park Landmarks.....Got a Fav?

I love to see SFGAM Carrosel, Epcot's sphere, and X at MM.

Giant Wheel in Wildwood. It dominates the skyline, even from miles away...

I love seeing Shivering Timbers from the road. Its the wooden wall, and I will never get old of seeing it.
ST at MA does look surreal. I agree.

The first three are my former home parks-

Bell"s Amusement Park: Sign over park entrance (featured in movie Tex)

Astroland: Cyclone

World's of Fun: Orient Express (RIP)

Belmont: Dipper, obviously.

Cinderella's castle. It's one of the most beautiful building's I've ever seen.

I also liked Shock Wave (SFGAm). It was an impressive sight, from outside the park. In fact, the view is about all I miss from it.

I would also say Apollo's Chariot. There's just something about seeing a B&M hyper in the foreground when you're getting off of I-64.

It's changed over the years, but Cedar Point now has three major landmarks that fill the sky.

I would have to say Millennium Force is my favorite "landmark"

I liked seeing BPB's Big One rising up over the ocean a lot.

Stateside, I like the way Knoebels just pops up out of the woods along some old road in the middle of nowhere. It'd be pretty cool if you didn't know the place was there. Just happened to be driving by, then all of a sudden...

I lied.

Cedar Point itself is a pretty nice landmark. I like looking at the whole park from across the water. Especially when driving on the causway. I get a real sense of anticipation.

The Conneaut Lake Blue Streak is a good landmark as well. The turnaround poking out of the trees right by that narrow winding road looks pleasingly out of place.

Six Flags Great America's double carousel stands out in my mind.

The view from the CP causeway, all those steel thingies sticking out of the sand, cannot be beat. :-)

Gimme speed, height, airtime and plenty of LAUNCH!!!

The Riverboat at Carowinds, (well not any more)

Great Gasp at SFOG. It looks beautiful at night.

The Pepsi Max Big One at sunset.

Not many people here will have seen it but it's an awesome sight.
