Other things to do in Sandusky...

Good grief you people make "hick" sounds so bad.

I am a born and bread farm boy hick and get this I now live in a house trailer. Wanna get stereotypical or what?

I would rather live out here in the country than in any city big or small.

I am proud that I used to spend my days on a tractor and that I used to party out in the woods along with parking way out in the woods. I grew up riding my bike down gravel roads, parkign my butt out in the cold woods for hours on end hoping to shoot Bambi, sitting on the tractor with dad, listening to country music, and looking out of my house in any direction and seeing corn. I graduated from a public school with 54 other people, and that is the average size school around here. Hell I drove my tractor to school on some days. The closest Wal Mart was 25 miles away and that is all there is there.

I guess "hick" is a relative term, but I am proud to be considered one even if that does have a negative connotation to you more gentrified people.

Did you notice your grammar compared to the others? You're one educated hick! Kudos for sticking up for yourself!

I live in a rural community in East Tennessee, where the closest thing we have to an amusement park is Dollywood. I guess that makes me a hick? No!

I'm originally from Southeast Michigan, so Yankee it is. But even so, most people down here wouldn't appreciate you calling them a hick. A hick is an uneducated person from the backwoods to many.

Margaritaville SUCKS! You would think that with a name like Margaritaville they would pride themselves on making the best margarita possible, right? Nope. Without a doubt, the worst f-ing margaritas of all time! And don't get me started on the crap they call salsa. Lets put a few - and I mean few - pieces of tomato and onion into some plain, canned tomato sauce and call it salsa. Oh yeah, and you thought CP was over priced?

As for Italian, Cedar Villa has good food (a little pricey) if you can catch them open. Or Marconi's in Huron (pricey but well worth it). Fazoli's to Italian is what Taco Bell is to Mexican.

For good steaks hit The Angry Bull on Rte. 6 east of Huron or Homestead Inn just south of the turnpike at the 250 exit. And if you can catch this place open - The Red Gabels (sp) in the Trader Jacks building across from the Bayshore campgrounds on Cleveland Rd. in Sandusky. Simply the best kept secret in dining in Sandusky. (Pricey)
