On-Ride Photos...

The picture for Mantis IS taken at the corkscrew, on the second half of the ride.

Great Bear's has to be the worst.
Yes, I would have to agree with all of you who said S:ros (sfa/sfdl) I don't know about sfne though.

SFNE's Superman is in a good spot, right after the fourth big hill. See my 'Personal Photo' it was taken on that coaster.

medusa wests on ride photo is taken rite after u exit the first corkscrew im not sure if that is good or bad but i always come out with a good photo 8-)
I found Fight of Fear's on-ride photo to be in a good spot. I think its when your getting launched. I like to look at people's faces cause most are either have a suprised look or a sick look.

Raptors is in a good position too, when your coming out of the powerful helix.

Spring Break- IOA,BGT,Magic Mountain,Epcot,MGM
I'd say Hershey's Wildcat is almost as bad as the Great Bear. Its right at the end of the ride before the brake run as well. I like Lightning Racers.

"The best on-ride photo has got to be Mantis at Cedar Point. They take it at the very end of the first loop. The picture is not taken after a corkscrew."

Uh, you must be thinking of something else like Kraken, but the on ride photo on mantis is right after the first corkscrew, and is very visible from the que line, and for me, on the ride.

On a separate note, doesn't Raptor have two separate on ride photo spots?.. one for the right two seats, and one for the left two seat.

I think the Raging Bull at SFGAm has a good photo position. At the bottmem of the first airtime hill off of the mid-course breaks. It's sweet, and I really like it there. I also like MF's. I didn't know where to expect it, but I like it where it is now.

2 for 1 in 2001:SFGAm all the way!!
2002:CPs year 2 rule!
I really like the Vortex's spot. Putting it right in the middle of the boomerang was pure genius.
California Screamin at DCA has a bad photo position. It is taken towards the end in a slow moving helix. It is not cool to be able to prepare for and smile for the shot, it should be taken while you are screaming or caught off guard. Ghost Rider has a nice photo position, it is right on the first drop! This makes for really funny pictures as lots of people are ducking down as they see the head chopping illusion at the end of the 1st drop!
I'd have to admit S:ROS(SFDL) is in a pretty good place, but Steel Force oh my god not on the break run!

Talon is going to rock, roll, and take its toll!
This might sound stupid but I think it might be cool to put a picture while your upside-down. I might not work......but it would be interesting.
MF's is in a good place, because if you were part of the general public, you'd have no idea it was in the tunnel.
I think both of raptors are in good spots. one is right after a corkscrew and the other is just as you come out of the final helix
Does anybody know what coaster was the first to use the on-ride photo feature? Just wondering.
As for my hometown park Paramount's Carowinds. I think that Top Gun's On-ride Photo is a t good location. It's positioned right after the first drop before you go into the first loop.
That would be cool if there was an on-ride in a loop. I know speed the ride has one in the loop, but its not while you're upsidedown. Steel Forces is in a fine location, right after the second bunnt hop.
Yeah, an upside down definetely would be cool. I have had an idea for a while though, that might be expensive, and would have to utilize new technology, but would really be cool. Imagine having a tiny digital camera built into the headrests of all the seats, and it would digitally video tape you (or your row) throughout the entire ride... Then at the counter, you can either buy it, at which point they would either put it on a CD for you to watch on your PC, possibily even onto a DVD, or even onto VHS. If you chose not to buy it, since it is digital, they could just delete it! I would definetly purcase that! What do you think about that idea?

Wild One or someone, correct me if I'm wrong, but didnt they have something to this effect on Joker's Jinx for the Discovery Channel's online web cast? I distinctly remember there being warning only on certain rows that if you sit in these rows, you agree to be taped. Since it was only those special rows, it leads be to belive that the was some special camera hook up similar to what FLA-coaster-rider is talking about.
