I just noticed there is a 10 post quota, is that just me or everyone?

It's just you.

I wish I could take credit for any post limit that might be in effect, but that's out of my jurasdiction. :)

No too many are aware of the strict borders drawn on the CB lawn. I have a small corner in the back where the dog poops. ;)

Holidog's pooper scooper, eh? ;)

I always figured that dog left one heck of a mess.

I'm picturing Jeff sitting back by the pool with a nice drink and Gonch playing with dog poop in the corner. I think it's time to go to bed after I get that thought out of my head.
Anybody else notice how Paula has yet to comment....

This thread started pretty late. Maybe in the morning?

I hope to god that it wouldn't be a GCII........ I really don't think that type of wooden coaster would accent the park well at all. When you twist like those rides, it takes up alot of room in one spot, instead of the sprawling of Raven and Legend so a lot of trees would be uprouted and the use of terrain would be VERY limited like Thunderhead.
Surprised no-one else has mentioned it, but surely the obvious next "big thing" for Holiday World would be a racing/duelling wood coaster? Just a thought :)

About the Blog if you havent read is you definitely need to read the blog about "New themed section"... that is positively one of the most hilarious things I have read in a while.
I wonder if Gravity Group has been doing more then just consulting about Raven? With the cool work they are doing on Hades, it's possible HW took notice of this unique coaster.

Personally I'd like to see a launch coaster from S&S like Powder Keg. That'd be pretty sweet! If not, an S&S woodie would be an excellent choice as well. Avalanche and J2 were both excellent woodies last year by S&S.

Whichever they choose to build, knowing HW, it will be top notch for sure, I'm pretty dang excited right now! :)

Well unless it's opening in 2007 I hightly doubt its GCI. They only take on one or two projects a year for quality purposes and they are already booked for 2006 with that European Park and Beech Bend.

Of course the Beech Bend woodie is just another reason to come and visit the area and hit HW while your here :)

Chuck, drooling over the possiblity of two new woodies within three hours of each other

Here's an idea for a steel coaster...
Something like Revolution (without OTSR's of course) -- Lots of twisting drops and curves through the forest and a nice loop or 2 or 3, but emphasis on the drops and curves.

Speaking of Anton, that just made me think of Zambezi Zinger--what a great fit for HW that would be, ignoring the fact that it was moved to Columbia and would be a maintenance problem. A terrain speedracer-style ride would be a great family coaster for the park. Come on Intamin; let's see some retro steel coasters.

I finally found a thread that I enjoyed reading thoroughly with great humor, interesting rumors & thoughts, and a joyous atmosphere. Thanks, Beast Tamer for ruining that mood with your vindictive, attention-whoring antics. You are 26, for crying out loud, act like it.

I teach Freshman in high school with more confidence, integrity and self-esteem than you. Get a clue.

Now, for my real response......

Wow, did this grow into another BT slam thread in the last 20 minutes?

I just wanted to comment on HW. No matter what ride/ coaster they place in the trees, it will be first class attraction. Once inside the park, you realize why corporate parks take days strolling around, picking up tips of their success. Management is littered with first class people, from Paula to Mr. Koch, to Mrs. Koch shaking your hand out of the gate at 8pm.

I feel deprieved of my summer when I miss a trip to Santa Claus, IN.

Woody, you don't actually really believe he's 26 now do you? ;)

Then again, I've met older folks who have even more emotional problems.

So y'all think it'll be a woodie that circles the entire park?? Hmmm? ;)

JF, I don't care how old he is, he just better find a better place to act immature. Try Day Care or 3rd grade, but not on an enjoyable thread, which this was.

And I also don't care what HW builds. A woodie that circles the park? Hmmmm.... I would exhaust myself if I tried to create a ride, I'll let them do it. They've proven their worth---2 for 2, thus far.
