Ok, what's Holiday World up to?

Check out today's (4/21/2005) entry in the HoliBlog.

Now, scroll down and read Paula's entry on 4/13, about wallpapers. Specifically, notice:

In the coming months, we’ll offer current photos, archival pictures, and construction shots.

Lots of construction shots.

SOMETHING interesting is going on there, but they're not going to spill the beans just yet.

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

How about a nice GCI twisting around in the woods. That would be nice.
Intamin Hyper! Or an Intamin miniHyper. Either way, it's all good.
Paula already teased us on the forums too---something about already busy planning for next year.

Sneaky. Very sneaky.

If you look now, there's a whole lot of trees being carefully removed from somewhere on the property! It looks like something BIG is definitely on the way according to Paula's hints!!!
I personally don't want to see a huge steel coaster at HW. In the future I'd love to see a mine train, spinning coaster or mouse and possibly a Powderkeg type launched coaster. But then again, something akin to Expedition G Force wouldn't be bad. Still hoping for a new woodie with plenty of curves.
Somehow I find it funny that no matter what park we're dealing with, the first things out of people's mouths are "GCI woodie!" and "Intamin Hyper!", usually in that order. Face it, Holiday World isn't going to build a gigantic Intamin mega coaster...
Actually if you would read the rest of the blog, you would see that next year they will have a record breaking expansion (More so than the current record expansion of this year). It has also been stated to expect to hear something sooner than later (as in before their usually late year announcement). What ever it is, it should be good. I can't think of anything in my mind (from the looks, and reviews as my first trip will be there this June) that appears to be an bad investment, of any form.

The stakes are high for anything they build. They already have two of the greatest coasters in the world. Only thing they can really do is build the best. That or the world's tallest, fastest, longest water slide.

That's why I said GCI woodie ;)
From the way I am reading the description of the trees being cut down, it is not one area but a line of them so I would think a terrain coaster instead of a twister. (assuming it is a coaster of course) Another terrain woodie would be nice, does anyone build suspendeds anymore?, or maybe a mine train. I still think HW would be perfect for an Intamin mini-hyper like ExGF or Goliath (WW).
Is this not what you all are talking about?

I knew as soon as I subscribed to the HoliBlog feed it would give HW another opportunity to tease me even more.

Darn you Paula!

Also:

I can picture nothing of the likes of EGF at HW. I honestly don't see them building another woodie, at least this soon.

I hope I'm wrong. ;)

No, Steel, that's not what we're talking about. That construction is the known project for this year, these hints are for something else, for next year (or beyond?)

RavenTTD, I don't see anything to make one think that it's a straight line of trees. It only says that they have been removed very precisely. Assuming it's a coaster (which it very well might not be) they could remove the trees for any layout. They just want to remove as few as possible.

Ah! Thanks! I guess I've let the cat outta the bag that I'm no where near a coaster "enthusiast!" LOL But I still like riding them! :)

Thanks for fixing my link too, still trying to figure things out! :)

She said it was not a clear cut operation which made me think it was not just in one area. Maybe I am reading too much into it. *** Edited 4/22/2005 3:45:15 AM UTC by RavenTTD***

Yeah...Whoe....hey hey..... AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
Just read the Blog and all I can say is "Darn you Paula!" The blog is very addictive and this one gets the creative wheels turning. If if turns out to be a new coaster, then all I can say is YEAH! Man what a great season that will be - new coaster at WOF and perhaps one at HW!
