Things have seemed eerily quiet on the forums lately. Why do you suppose that is? Outside of the holiday season, I haven't really seen things get this quiet. Is is just me, or is there little participation going on?
Somebody say something please!... Or else I may have to start getting more productive and stuff. ;)

Besides Cedar Fair's projects and the AB sale, I don't see that much to get excited about for 2010. Six Flags hasn't made a peep yet!
Sure there is still alot going on, but it just seems like everything loses its energy to a point when you can't go to a park or see whats going on every day.
I just look and post of something really interesting catches my eye on these forums. I mean there are still some trip reports and such out there, in the long run that may peak my interest. However, i generally like talking more about something that peaks my interest like, ride manufacturers and what goes into making a coaster all the geeky stuff. People on here have a vast knowledge of that, which in turn helps me. The lull has officially started for a few of us, mine will be after saturday.

That will always get some people ranting for a week or two. Kind of like poking a snake with a stick.
We haven't talked about pancakes in awhile. :)

By the numbers, page views here are 13% higher than for the same month last year. So I suppose it has been worse.

Huh, so people are just stopping by and reading the same posts over and over again? :)

Agreed, as a long time lurker and < 1 year member it does seem as though the off season has started early.
I've been crazy/busy at work and haven't been posting much. Maybe that's it, Carrie? You just miss me! ;)
How dare you put work before me, Moosh! ;)
Of course I miss you!! :)

The weather hasn't helped, at least for me. It's kind of difficult to be excited about getting out to the parks when it's raining every day and you keep having to change or cancel park trips.
I guess it's time to start a best/worst coaster of the melienium debate. That should get things fired up.

I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!
Uh, I think I'd prefer the silence, Hopman. :)

I guess the excitement from the "Intamin-dater" and other announcements (Holiday World, Kennywood) has run out of steam, and there really haven't been many more big announcements for 2010. Everything else is pretty much rumor and speculation, which doesn't make for good threads here.
Has the weather been that bad all over, that we haven't seen many TR's from the various haunts and Halloween events?

We could obviously rag on your spelling for sport.

Kennywood might actually get a reprieve tomorrow night after 4 straight Fridays of rain. Between that and high school football, I bet they've seen lower attendance this year, at least on Friday nights. I know they closed an hour after opening the Friday before PPP.
