Not Coaster Songs you associate with coasters

I'll go with Brand Nubian's "Punks Jump up to get Beat Down" for just about any SLC, particularly Mind Eraser @ SFA, where you get the great combination of "punks" and the ears get "beat down".

Also, as further proof that (not so) subliminal advertising works, I cannot hear Willa Ford's "I Wanna be Bad" without seeing pictures of Georgia Cyclone and Thunder Run.

As in my sig, Time to fly by Urge on the Titan A.E. Soundtrack always reminds me of rollercoasters. I just picture the scene from the movie and just want to ride a coaster!

'That was totally mildly amusing.' - Dan Miron on Superman: The Escape

Last summer, as I was getting pulled up the lift hill on Flashback at SF:NE, they were playing the song Alive by P.O.D. in the station. Now, every time I've ridden a coaster since then, I can't get it out of my head.

Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train," because this song was used on an Entertainment Tonight piece about new rides (specifically SFMM's Z-Force and PKI's Vortex) in 1987. I had never even heard that song before, but I taped that clip and must have watched it 1,000 times.

I named one of my coasters on RCT Ozzys' Crazy Train. It was a mine train coaster.------------------

"mantis as the line is perpetually stuck in 1996" so true some reason that line experiance in 96 is the only one I remeber vividly because of the music videos and that damn CP history video. I worked Mantis for a few days this year and was kinda surprised the same music was still playing, surprised CP didnt plumb in the midaway music by now.
P.O.D. - Boom
Sugar Ray - Answer the Phone
Offspring - Come Out and Play
Reel Big Fish - The Set Up (You Need This)
Linkin Park - One Step Closer
EMF - Unbelievable
Green Day - Welcome to Paradise (how true it is...)

There is no mercy for those who ride X.

I always think of "The World Keeps Turning" by Napalm Death. Waaaay back when MTV had good stuff like Headbangers Ball I remember seeing the video. Parts of the video showed clips of onride footage of a looping coaster.

Who here thinks of Creed's "Can You Take Me Higher" when in line for the Lightning Racer? ;)

What was that one Queen music video where they all rode that roller coaster?

Wow! Someone has great taste! I have another one. Belle and Sebastian-The Roller Coaster Ride

"Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order. My greatest ride on a woodie came when I was riding Monstre at La Ronde, which ripping through its course, with that song playing, thanks to my CD player!

Regarding RnRC and Aerosmith, the one that does the trick is the train that starts with I believe "Sweet Emotions", then at the first block brake... jumps into "Walk this Way". Unbelievable.

Yep Absimillard, you're right about RnR. After hearing that, I was hooked. The ride ends at a good point in the song, too.

Some of Linkin Park's songs (Papercut comes to mind) are good coaster songs also.

i personally like U2's "Elevation" AND "Zoo Station" for coasters...

"Elevation" just because it is what it is ( rockin' song that REALLY embodies a coaster)

and "Zoo Station" because of the "Time is a train, makes the future the past" line...

OH and U2's Lady with the Spinning Head" is good too...remix version...

formerly known as servo3000...mela en coiamin Legolas

Goldfinger's 99 Red Balloons always comes to mind when I ride SROS at SFDL. I guess just because the song starts out kind of slow and then picks up and then ends kind of slow.
Ooh Absimilliard said New Order and now I've got another one...New Order's Temptation-"up, down, turn around, please don't let me hit the ground."
I enjoyed the music they used to play during Chaos at Opryland...Bones on the Beach I think its called...lots of deep bass...it fit nicely.

Kennywood Park, America's finest traditional amusement park.

I think the theme song for The Legend should be "Slam" by Onyx!
