Not Coaster Songs you associate with coasters

Unlike the monthy coaster songs threads. I would like to know what *non coaster* songs that you think goes well with the *Theme* or *Ride experience* of a particular coaster?

One song I really think would be neat to hear playing in Flight of Fear is a song done in the early '80s by a band named Jonzun Crew. The song is called Ground Control. BTW while not suggesting you do anything illegal, I don't think you can get the album or song in stores anymore!

I think U2's elevation goes pretty well with just about any coaster. Pearl Jam's Given to Fly always reminds me of Raptor, and any song from 1995 or 1996 reminds me of mantis as the line is perpetually stuck in 1996. ;)

Coming in 2003-The Spawn Of Magnum!

Aerosmith. That whole Rock n' Roller coaster thing did it.

Any really spacey melodic trance with a really big buildup somewhere (Darude's Sandstorm comes immediately to mind, most anything by Fragma, most of the stuff in the background from the vids from Coasters2K.com) really reminds me of cresting a lift hill and when the beat hits, it feels just like the first drop.

Once I tried to wear my headphones on Nitro and time it so the beat would drop just as I was, but it didn't work out so well.

"Long Way Down" by The Goo Goo Dolls for Millennium Force 'nuff said :) If anyone bought my video I made before youll see what I mean

SFGAm Viper

Well after spending about 5 hours last week working on an S&S video about their new rides for RideWorld, I now associate "All My Life" by the Foo Fighters with coasters. When ever I get on the net, "All my life I've been thinking about..." keeps on going through my mind.

"She Hates Me" by Puddle of Mud brings back old Shockwave memories. Too bad the single wasn't released until it was being dismantled (I think).

Favorite Coasters:
1)MF 2)Raging Bull 3) Magnum XL-200 4)Rock N' Roller Coaster 5)Raptor
I'm also reminded of Aerosmith, because of RnR. Also, any other hard classic rock (Boston, Led Zeppelin) reminds me of coasters. Whenever I hear Nelly, I think of coasters, because I listened to it on one of my favorite park trips I've ever been on.

CoastingCory, I never thought about it, but SMOKIN by Boston works really well :) Thanks

Batman and Superman theme songs thanks to Six Flags
Sheryl Crow - Soak up the Sun
That sounds realy gay but I heard it on the radio on my way to SFGAm last year and now I always think of coasters when I hear that song.
Sandstorm!!!!
How about Harvey Danger's: Flagpole Sitta(spelling might be wrong) I can picture myself on the back row of Raging Bull well this songs talks about paranoia.

------------------
If you haven't rode Raging Bull in the back row you haven't lived. The feeling on that first drop cannot be explained in words!

For some reason Clocks by Coldplay reminds me of many coasters. I think it's the rhythm, sounds much like a lift hill (or a clock).
Also Radiohead's National Anthem.
What can I say, I like british music, and would be delighted to have suggestions on good bands to hear e-mailed to me (just a hint :))

I can't believe it's not B&M

I association Dirty Vegas's Days Go By with Holiday world. The ight before going (got no sleep so I was listening to the radio) I heard it and was all, I like that song. Then Coming back I also heard the song again on the radio. I absolutely love the song because that day at Holiday World is the single best Amusement Park time I have ever had. That is saying a lot when my worst trip is still spectacular.
After watching Robb Alvey's Coaster Footage 02, and especially the Bonus Footage of Expedition GeForce, The Offspring - Defy You fits as a "coaster" song.

"You cannot stop us, you cannot bring us down... we go on and on..."

Sandstorm, and a boat load of Prince songs. ;)

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Everytime I ride the PNE Coaster the Led Zeppelin song "Stairway to Heaven"is playing in my head as I go up the lift hill.

------------------
Lets' save the Vancouver PNE Coaster before its'too late!

Spiritualized - 'Lay Back in the Sun' Just a good summertime song.

Strokes - 'The Modern Age' Same as above. The 'in the sun havin' fun' part does it for me. Think this song would be great for a Holiday World segment. 'Up on a hill, is where we begin...'

Coldplay - 'Don't Panic.' Sounds like Knoebel's at night to me. 'We live in a beautiful world...'

Black Sabbath - 'Iron Man' Heard this on the radio coming out of Kennywood this summer after an intense PR session. Just seems to fit.

More later...
