Next RCT Expansion Pack Release Date Question

More:Demon Drop or Mr.Heide Type ride?(need those) Arcade(arcade games):))!!!,Tilt-A-Whirl, wooden supports for log flume, turntables for stations(like as seen at CP), one of those Katanca Skyscraper thingys? And thats all I can think of,if you have any more let me know! :)
Not just arcades but also games of skill like the Guess Your Weight, Balloon Dart, Water Race Game. Also why can't they have at least one sit down restaurant where you can choose what type it is (cafeteria, buffet, steak house, etc.)to offer more variety of food than what is already offered.

A water park would be cool too, but, as you may have already noticed, the peeps can't swim.
LOL,ya they dont swim too well!

Also, instead of ice-cream how about Icies! You should also be able to place Drink stalls in the que lines, most parks have those in realy popular rides.Aslo reverse ejection seat thing? Also how about rust and all that other stuff that they didnt add in one of those web sites I found some stuff that were realy cool, and they never did it!
Well, if there is going to be a RCT2, I would love to see the folowing in it.

1. New coaster track (Manufactors)
2. New coasters (Giga, 4th demension)
3. A lot more thrill rides (Any Zamparela ride, Sky Coaster, and midaway rides such as Tilt-a-whirl, Octupous)
4. Steep drops on Log Flumes
5. Airgates for stations
6. Ride operators (when rides break down, they walk up the lift and calm down the people, and they check harnesses; I mean what coaster have you ridden when the harnesses closes on you??)
7. Different types of people (Male, Female, Age, Height)
8. Height restrictions on rides.

That's about all I can think of now.....

"4 Seats are better than 2"
I was just surfing Chris Sawyers web site and this is a quote from his F.A.Q. section."Will there be a sequel to RollerCoaster Tycoon?
It's likely at some point in the future, but it will have to wait until technology has moved forward enough to allow the kind of improvements the game needs." Now this leads me to believe there will indeed be another installment to the RCT game. Whether it be another expansion pack or an RCT2, it doesn't matter to me, just as long as some of the stuff stated in this thread gets added.

Sorry for the long post
I love the original RCT game, like everybody else, but I'm with all of you that there needs to be a RCT2...I know it adds to the fun of the game, but when was the last time you were at a park and benches were broken in half, or trash cans totally abliterated (sp?)? Besides all that, these are my top 20 suggestions to a new RCT game:
1. Real Manufacturer's Tracks (as stated by others before)
2. Overbanked turns
3. Get rid of that pesky "too high for supports"
4. Select your degree of acent/decent on Steel and Woodies...(45..50..80,etc...)
5. Demon Drop type ride
6. Scenario with all FLAT land (i can't stand changing the land all the time), and unlimited money...for those who just want to build.
7. Able to do anything while on a slant
8. A Power Tower (with all 4 towers)--people don't ride all 4 if you put them in seperately
9. Corkscrews that don't go off to the side like RCT...what I mean are strait corkscrews
10. True height markers (from ground up)
11. More flat rides (Chaos, Matterhorn, etc.)
12. Tunnels without having to dig!
13. Abilaty to enclose rides (Avalanche Run --->Disaster Transport)
14. Better queues, walkways (allow 4 blocks to be together--without guests getting lost)
15. Better food...dip N dots anybody?--its the "Ice Cream of the Future"
16. Smoke (mist) in lagoons, or along paths
17. Train tracks that cross paths (with rail road crossing lights)
18. Automatic tree removal option
19. A WATERBALL DOWN THE MAIN CONCOURSE!!!
20. And Last but not least...RIDE YOUR CREATIONS!!
Thankyou :)

Raptor: 8
Magnum XL-200: 1

I think that they should put a great deal into checking theming, music, colors, and seeing if it all makes sense, maybe a little too realistic for a computer game, but that's what make the game stupid.

DUH!!! A major improvement would be night time play...set lights up around the park to keep it lit.

That's what I was looking for even when the demo was out. Chase lights on your lifts, sidewalk lamps that serve a purpose. Kind of the "look" that Hersheypark pinball game had.

Again, along the lines of the night play, you should be able to have different color lights for your paths...say you have a walkway to a "Magnum" coaster...your walkway would be lit red...or a "Raptor" coaster, your walkway could be green...or during Halloween season, your walkway may be orange...or perhaps pitch black in certain areas...
Something noone has mentioned for improvements?

Simple! I don't recall riding a "Raging Rapids" ride where it has to travel down 50 feet just to keep up speed. What they need is to re-create the water rides with a little more realism. The log ride, raging rapids, and others travel at 1mph! C'mon. In real life, the flow of the water pushes it at about a decent 5-10mph, and this is on flat land! They really have to improve the water rides.

Another improvment needed are chain-lifts. Now that a lot of parks have chain-lifts that can carry a coaster up a hill in less than a minute! A lot of coasters don't travel up the chain lift at only 5mph anymore. Intamin coasters, especially, travel anywhere from 7-12mph up the hill (ie: Superman: ROS, Millenium Force). Some instances, even woodies glide up the hill now (The Comet at TGE).
How about actual physics and math. In other words, if the coaster is 125 feet tall, it goes ~60 MPH, not 74. A 246 foot coaster in RCT goes nearly 100MPH!!! That's just impossible, and it is easy to fix. Also, calculation of ride length and speed is incorrect too, presumably from the funky physics model. For instance, I have a coaster that is 4,426 feet long. It has an Average Speed of 21 MPH...and it takes 110 seconds to go through the course. If you convert the average speed to feet/sec, and work the math, it should take a train 2:20 to go through a 4,426 foot track at an average speed of 21 MPH. NOT 1:50. Very strange, and should be easy to fix.

I would also like to be able to play a night time only version. Think of how much cooler parks look at night when the lights are on. that would be great

All time Top 5: (1) Milleniun Force (2) Alpengeist (3) Hulk (4) Ice Dragon (5) Raptor
everyone needs to remember 1 thing. Although all the new things everyone mentioned would be great if added to rct....
anything else the game has to process, limits the window of how many computers can run the game. Right now the game is available to ALOT of people because it's able to run on crappy computers. The more you shrink that window the less popular and profitable the game becomes.
the #1 thing that I hear RCT needs is the ability to ride your coasters after you build them. That would be great, but I don't have a super-computer, and the game is already teetering on running slowly. So you have to take all that into consideration.

Hey,
I'll take the game the way that it is, where it's a pseudo-3D game.
The problem that I have is that they can severly improve the game's graphics so resolutions which are greater than 800x600 can show greater detail, not just a zoomed out view. They can improve the graphics by making the sprite characters into little polygon people & improving the frames of animation for each ride to make it more authentic looking.

The Sims uses a pseudo 3D view with polygon people, why not RCT? (And yes, I'm aware of the fact there's only 3-5 people in The Sims at once vs. 100's in RCT... but the people are MUCH smaller & cloned, too).

I think Chris Sawyer can pull it off. Do you REALLY need to ride your creations? Isn't that what "No Limits Coaster Simulation" is for? Isn't that what "Sim Coaster" is for? RCT is just great for watching from a 3rd person perspective because it can look a whole lot more real without taking a big crunch on your system requirements.

They can pull it off with the minimum requirements at possibly a 300mhz Pentium II (no 3D card required). If not, then they can have it so you can strip certain details to make it run faster!!!!

'Nuff said?
28: Putting the "Reverse Whoa Belly" in the correct folder (thrill rides) and not in the coaster folder...
