Also RCTcrazy,if youre sooo crazy about RCT,than maybe you should care.
First of all, the original topic was expansion pack, NOT RCT2.
Second of all, I am RCTCrazy, not RCT2Crazy!
What is stopping from them from just making an option to import parks from the original into a newer game? Sort of like Baldur's Gate II lets you import characters from the original.
Actually RCT2 is DEFINATELY needed.
RCT1 is showing its age. The graphics, while they still hold up, cannot be compared by some of today's games... yes... even the ones that do not require a 3D card.
The thing that RCT sequal needs, though, is the different brands of coaster-types. I mean, an Arrow hyper coaster (Magnum XL-200) looks completely different than a Intamin hyper (Superman: ROS, Millenium Force) ,which looks different than a B&M hyper (Apollo's Chariot).
They also need more diversity in the new track-types out. MF is just one example with very over-banked turns, a much faster lift (RCT still only takes you up at 5mph!!!), an elevated lift, and stuff in the near future that currently doesn't exist! (ie: looping hyper, corkscrew wooden).
It'd be nice to re-create the famous Cyclone from Crystal Beach, but with the limited track pieces... it's still not possible.
All I am saying is that the RCT sequal needs 4 things:
1) Official coaster manufactures.
2) Updated graphics with men, women, & children. Why is the entire park filled with guys?
3) Much better quie lines (those waiting lines). I never seen blue or red waiting lines at any park I visited... plus the stations should be a little more realistic.
4) Updated sound effects. The wooden coasters should be more distinct. The steel hypers should climb quietly. There should be more diverse environmental effects. What's there is good, but that was 2 years ago. Time for a severe update!
The main thing a new RCT would need are banked inclines and banked declines, or even a way to shape the track to your exact idea. This would enable much more complex, limitless, and realistic track designs.
A new RCT just creates a brand new game for you to play. You can still play your old RCT, but now you also have another great coaster game to play.

I don't care what they add as long as they fix it where you can put inversions on a coaster when you're going in a diagonal. That stinks that you can't do that. There would be a lot more coaster recreations that were closer to being real if that were possible.

What is life without ups and downs!?!?
There are many diffrent things that could be done to improve RCT considerably. BUT - the main thing I was thinking are auto-dispatch intervals, block brakes, set-ups, but my main problem is that when station brakes fail, they open. On a real coaster this just isnt true. The brakes "normal" position is closed. I will agree that there should be new tracks, and new elements with tracks such as overbanked turns, "real" dive-loops/immelmans, and a new onride photo track section where it can be underground, and on drops (like for instance on the holding brake of vertical coasters). POV's would be great aswell, but until there is an announcement, we have to deal, so keep dreaming.

Snow, SFNE, SROS, and the Martian hop - what could be better?
Im going to have too keep dreaming! But do you know what would realy be assome! When you are building a coaster, click on the widest turn, now wouldnt it be cool to do an inversion,or anything in the special box there?
also when doing a zero-g-roll,they should let you not have to flatten out the track first and then do the z-g-r.You guys know what im talking about?
They really need to put in an actual zero-g roll element, that is what is really missing.
They could bring back the Mega Park scenerio and just let you have fun without trying to get a rating or getting your attendance up. I get tired of trying to beat some of these scenerios and I'd like to build my own park without any challenges. Catch my drift? ;)

www.geocities.com/byostie Can you take me higher? (CREED)
I think they need to make the height limit higher, like 375 or something.and then let.How about banked twisting drops. AND THEY NEED TO LET YOU RIDE YOUR OWN RIDES!

As long is there is never a Six Flags Sandusky, I will live a happy life.
Actually, what would be nice...
Just as a little addition,
Instead of those little 6, 7, 8...etc markers for height... they have it as REAL height starting with the ground level as 0, so we can tell exactly how tall a coaster is, and the drop length... etc!
If you are familiar with the metric system then you will notice that each number in the height is actually 1m. You would then have to subtract the ground height from the track height to find out how tall it is.
I don't know why you wouldn't be able to play your RCT games if a RCT2 came out. RCT2 would be a completely different game and would install in a different folder.
No, I think they mean you cant play RCT games in RCT2, which is fairly ludicrous if they keep they same rides... Plus, ExtremeRCT (i think)Is making a track viewer, in 3d, so converting files shouldn't be hard... Unless they change speeds equations, which they should.

I'm 2 for 2 so far!!!
They need to have the following:Sky coaster,4 dimension,a larger height limit(like 400 ft :) Yo YO(as seen at SFO),twisting inverts and vertical on inverts(like S:UE)let you do inversions diagonaly, have staircases, ride ops,no entrance/exits so we dont have to deal with it and better que lines,I'll think of some more later!
Bryan!
If they'd make a RCT2, then I'd want less restrictions. I'd want a humungous park space, like twice of what you get now--so I can make an authentic Cedar Point. :)
I'd also want Intamin track--inverted and hyper/giga.
Less height restrictions on woodies, and BIG helices--so I don't have to use a twister track to make The Beast.
Big helices so we can make swooping turns on hypers and gigas.
And last, but certainly not least, I WANT BANKED INCLINES DAMMIT! If there is anything that makes mad in the game is not being able to bank the inclines--this includes overbanks.

Actually, having used the Metric system since I started school, (and still do), I can say without a doubt that the units in RCT are NOT meters. I can remember someone doing the math a while back and one unit came out to something along the lines of 4.1 feet, I can't remember exactly though.

*If things seem under control, you're just not going fast enough*
Also, they need:Non-circuit water slides, Hammerhead Stall like concept,WAVE POOL!, 3D views like on Ultra Coaster(meaning your views), ability to build food stalls underground, rel lights, maybe night mode and off-season(like somebody said(optional)),TILT COASTER!,and climing wall, think of somemore later!!!!!!!
