New types of rollercoasters.

The monorail idea is way too Disney World for Cedar Fair parks. They would never even think of having something like that. I agree with Peabody on the theming. Now that I think about it. The theming that they tried (not too well might I add) to put in Disaster Transport didn't go over too well. People don't want stuff to look at, they want the living daylights scared out of them and one huge adreneline rush.

O well. I still think the "expanding Peninsula" idea could work if thought out properly.

I personally think we will see a few more wooden coasters next year, as there are alot of parks in need of good and/or new wood(Carowinds? CP? PKD?).

I am anxious as to see if it really is a B&M 4D @ Port Aventura. But if it ends up being the largest Dive Machine, I won't be that suprised;).

B&M 4D? I haven't heard about that. CP is in need of a new wooden coaster but there all about the latest and greatest, I don't see wood happening for CP.

I'd love to see a gige or strata coaster at Kings Dominion. I'm sure it wont happen because of height laws or somethin. None of the rides there have any great hight except drop-zone. A big ride would make this park kick sfmm and Cedar Points @$$.

or.....not. I don't think any park with the exception of maybe DisneyWorld has been kicking Cedar Points a$s at least. Great America has been Kicking SFMM's @$$ for awhile in my opinion. O well I wanna see a flyer at cp!

A woodie could be the "latest and greatest". It just depends on what they did with the design. They could potentially do a lot. I mean, a woodie with a launch, various inversions, higher hills, any number of things that you could work into a steel coaster could be worked into a woodie, depending on what it was. At this point, no one is kicking Cedar Points @$$ because they've been the number one park in the world with record shattering roller coasters and award winning attractions for forever. I don't forsee any park outdoing Cedar Point in this lifetime. None of the parks I've been to have even come close. Kings Dominion could still have a giga/strata coaster because depite the height cap. They could take it up to 400 feet but not above. However, I don't see it happening. KD doesn't have the revenue to build a coaster of that magnitude. If they did, they'd go bankrupt and Cedar Fair would end up owning yet another crappy park that they have to build from the ground up.

Yeah, let's build more wooden roller coasters like SOB. After all, it was a HUGE success wasn't it? Woodies do not need to be that tall or do anything fancy that a steel roller coaster does. See Raven and Legend. Woodies are purely unique on their own in what they do with just going 100 feet in the air and having a nice mix of laterals, airtime, and other elements. NOT inversions or launches that wouldn't work.
