Tombraider: Firefall-essentially PKI's TR:TR
MTV Soundwave-essentially Disney's Rock 'n' rollercoaster
Mission: Impossible Live-a stunt show
Tomb Raider: Chamber of Fire-a walk through fire/water special effects spectactular
SpongeBob Squarepants: Crash Course Boating School- a highly themed wild mouse like coaster
There are 11 total all with ride concept pictures. Very cool survey. Voice your opinion!
If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.
ex: Borg Assimilator, Tomb raider(as a flying coaster), The Italian Job Stunt Track(The Italian Job?)
So following that tradition the name above most likely to make it is MTV Soundwave
Personally I like the Sponge Bob idea and theTomb Raider:Chamber of Fire name
Note I'm not against the the new ride I just think that Paramount has been desperate to use their movie properties lately without putting much into them. Borg Assimilator uses the Star Trek theme but only a little. Had Disney,Six Flags, or Universal built the ride then the station and que line would've been themed as well as having the sphere
Italian Job Stunt Track will probably be a great ride but the name just doesn't work for me. *** Edited 9/8/2004 3:00:56 PM UTC by john13601***

Does anyone else think that the "TV Land" themed restaurant idea would make a good stand-alone concept?
Joel
The Sound Wave one looks pretty cool. So do the Tomb Raider and Nick rides. The Titanic Simulator could be interesting, but I wouldn't care if they didn't do it. TV Land Lounge could be good as a resturaunt, and the Shows (MI, and I dont rember teh other one) would rock the casba.
As for teh rest of the stuff, Meh.
I would doubt that 4 out of 5 of the parks would get the Sponge Bob mouse type ride(unless they themed the mouse they have), but PKI could really use another family coaster...
PKI won't get the Tomb Raider Fire Fall, but the walk thru would be neat if it was right near TR:TR. PCW could get the Top Spin, but would probably not theme it to Tomb Raider. PKD, PGA and Carowinds could use both Tomb Raider rides.
I think all parks could get the Mission Impossible show. I doubt PCar would get the Nick car wash since they have something slightly similar in Super Saturator, but it could happen. The other parks, though, could defintly use it.
PCar, PGA, and PCW could all definitly use the Sound Wave coaster, I doubt PKI or PKD would get it since they have FoF(but ya never know...;)). *** Edited 9/8/2004 3:34:25 PM UTC by TeknoScorpion***
Snow Day? Bring your coats in July. It'll only cost you $3 bucks to put it in a locker the rest of the day
And the rest of those movies the had listed for future attraction possibilities: How to lose a guy in 10 days,Alfie ect. oh boy
Maybe Paramount not all movies lend themselves to movies.
For the vast majority of our respondents, this really won't an issue and we're sorry to even have to bring it up. But for those of you who might be thinking that it might be cool to post the artwork or story ideas on your favorite web site, please consider that your actions will have an impact on whether or not we do this again in the future. There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!
there were some horrendous ideas in there. why are they still building tomb raider stuff? does anyone care about tomb raider? is anyone actually a tomb raider fan? the first video game was good ... but nothing since then has even been above average, and i think even among gamers (me) they've exhausted that franchise.
I would want MTV Sound Wave more then anything else on that survey. Sure, Rock N Rollercoaster is probably a basis for this ride but it just seems so great for Paramount to be doing ride's like that. I think they need to concentrate on more thrilling rides (at least for PCW) then family rides because family rides will not bring NEW people into the park just keep the current one's happy, whereas a new thrill ride has more of a chance of bringing in the new fans.
Again just my opinion
I also rated the Mission Impossible Live very highly since the Paramount Parks don't have a stunt show and they need some high quality stuff to get their entertainment line-up back in with the big boys. I made sure that I would be looking for a stunt show in line with Waterworld or Indiana Jones and not Batman Stunt Spectacular. ;)
Shockwave would be really good at PGA since they don't have any major indoor attractions (that I can recall) and this would fill the void of launcher and add another looper since they just removed two last year. I'd much rather see PGA get some sort of rocket coaster the size of Xcelerator or Storm Runner though.
**I noted that you can still make a satisfying highly-themed outdoor coaster that gives you the wind-in-your-face rush and talked about Hulk and Dueling Dragons at IOA along with Montu at BGT and Apollo at BGW (had to talk about my fave B&M hyper ;)).
The Titanic concepts didn't really do anything for me and I told them I would prefer it as a combination of the two ideas to make a dark ride with special effects like wind and water being used as well.
I really hope I never see the TRTR concept used at PKI in another park ever again, but the second one was fairly cool if they could match the quality to Posiedon's (sp?) Fury at IOA.

SpongeBob Squarepants: Crash Course Boating School- a highly themed wild mouse like coaster
I kinda liked both these Ideas as well as the MI Stunt spectacular, As long as it was done BIG.
I visited SFGAM a few years ago when they did the batman show on water, It was well done with boat jumps and everything. And then again I seen on at SF Ohio that was basically one guy doing doughnuts on stage on a motorcycle.
I think walkthroughs are a long time comming and have been proven now that they can be built to withstand the daily grind.
Chuck, who considers IB's Frankenstiens Castle a must do
And, btw, the only thing the survey said was that they don't want you posting the artwork nor the descriptions they had. No one here has posted their descriptions (in detail, which they said), but have simply stated what its likely to be like.
And its Soundwave, Danny, not Shockwave;)

If another park got Tomb Raider: Giant Top Spin Experience, I'd hope they would get a different program and they would have all the kinks worked out. I also prefer *original* attractions at parks, but I can stand duplicates if I absolutely love them. And TR:TR is just alright in its current state. I think the walkthrough would be much more interesting for other parks.
Soundwave. Soundwave. Soundwave. I think I got it now. ;)

The Indoor fast paced coupled car machine would probably be generic, although I would be curious what else can be done with a LIM bowl coaster.
The People mover that just so happens to get you wet would **looks** fun but but it seems it would only be enjoyable during the mid season (cold weather)
I really really hope folks in cali would get into the swing of things and take that survey! If any park was to get one of those attractions I would hope it would be PGA! (although im a PC kinda guy :) )

I think the Titanic ideas are in very poor taste. Even thought they made a (bad) movie about it, it was still an actual event, and exploiting it into an attraction just seems wrong.
MTV soundwave does sound cool, but it's been done already.
The Nickelodeon Car-Wash would be a huge hit with my kids.

So, please keep this mind and do not overstep the boundry they requested that we not cross. After all, they don't have to continue doing these surveys.
