That's pretty cool, but maybe not entirely unexpected. I think Maverick taught us that non-tall rides can be awesome.

Absolutely. I really enjoyed Copperhead Strike, didn’t care that it wasn’t a monster, and it was so re-rideable that I climbed aboard many, many times that day. I’m glad it made a good start here.
Time Traveler is also a good ride- my hope is that more parks catch on to Mack and all they can do. I’m a fan.
I really expected CS to be a "meh" coaster. Boy, was I mistaken. This ride is fantastic. 3 re-rides in a row in the 2nd row from the back at closing time was AWESOME!
Copperhead is one of the best new rides to debut in the last couple of years. It’s really amazing and the new Blue Ridge Junction is amazing.
Delighted to see this make the list and in such a high position. In reviewing CS for another blog I gave it a 9 out of 10; it's that good. Executed flawlessly and the amount of ejector air came as a pleasant surprise. I too am a fan of Mack. As RCMAC pointed out, Time Traveler is another good ride. Apart from the ride experience, I think it's pretty cool that each of these coasters has a storyline behind it - as does another Mack, Cobra's Curse. Offhand I can't think of any other coasters - at least not any I've ridden - that have both a theme and a storyline.

I expect Steel Curtain will be a big shake up when it enters.
Does anyone track the rides that fall out of top 100?
SDC is about to lose 2 really great rides.
I thought you came out years ago.
Tremors and Wicked enter the list. Can't remember the last week we had two debuts at the same time.
Especially impressed that a remote 20-year-old CCI just made it on there for the first time. Is this a rare classic-era CCI that is aging OK?
Mr. Freeze hangin' on for dear life at #100 like the riders would be if it were to stall inside the top hat.

A little bit of that and it probably reached the rider threshold required to be considered.
I'm a week late, but both Time Traveler and Silver Star popped up on the list. Well, I think Time Traveler was the other new one last week. Anyway, while I've not experienced the former, the latter is fantastic and I'm thrilled to not only see it, but another overseas coaster in general, pop up on the list, and a decent ways up at that!
13 Boomerang, 9 SLC, and 8 B-TR clones
It just occurred to me that GhostRider is not found on the Top 100. Doesn't this seem odd? Goldstriker is top 30 and I believe GhostRider is pretty comparable to that.
Cole Mingo
(AKA Barry Allen and Niles Crane amalgamated).
I think it was there once upon a time, but no one has been particularly complimentary about it in years.

Interesting. I remember it being awesome once upon a time, and then degrading to pretty awful for a while there. But, the recent GCI refurbishment (2016ish?) left it in very good shape--as in, I was shocked at how much better it was than I expected when I rode last year.
I've never been to Knott's but I think it was one of those CCI coasters like Villain at Geauga Lake that started out as a Top 10 wooden coaster and then declined into an unrideable mess.
