I have to agree, I miss the active topics on the front page. I do, however, like that I can actually have formatting options in Firefox now. Oh, and the avatar thing is really awesome!

Oooh, I also like the quote graphics!

Certain victory.

I like it! I'll agree about the recent topics list being a nice thing, but overall, I think this is a big improvement over the old version.

Very cool!

I love the avatars. It's going to help me put a face to the post and keep track of who is who.

I love the colors!

Oooh, I also like the quote graphics!

Me too! lol

I can't wait to try out the other features! This rocks!

The only thing that I don't like so far is the lack of active topics on the main page. It was really easy to see how much activity occured between visits.

I've noticed that a lot of times when a web site does a camplete makeover, there is a tendency for users to not want to give it time to get used to it. It'll be interesting to see what happens here.

Just hopped on CB for the first time in a few weeks, and not only is the HW2009 project announced, but there's a nice new CB to go with it. Like the colors (and yeah, I'm a longtime KI attendee :) Good job!Off to explore more...

You've got your damn home page topics. :)

I am really digging the new layout and design of CBuzz. I think its alot easier use and navigate and I am very impressed!

Good job Jeff :)

Great job Jeff. ThePointbuzz layout has grown on me since it was introduced, and now it's great to have it here too. It's very clean and fresh!

Ahhh. Now I am at peace. :)

I really like the new search feature, and how it brings up choices as you type in the letters. Sometimes you know what the name you're looking for starts with but can't think of the rest of it!

I'm having no problems with Firefox 3

It was developed mostly using FF3, so I should hope not.

I'd still like to get the rich text editor working in Safari, but Safari does some weird things I haven't been able to figure out yet. It's on my mind, but not a high priority.

I've knocked off a bunch of formatting issues (the forum looks a lot better in terms of margins and such now), as well as a couple of odd bugs.

Let me ask you (that is, the general audience) this... If it were easier to edit the park and coaster data, would you be willing to help maintain it?

Let it go, man. I'm not going to change it, even if you complain about it again (twice). The thing people most care about is who made the last post, and it's easier to scan down the side than have your eye travel in and out.

Overall, it still needs a lot of work

I'd be willing to help keep it up to date if it was easier to edit. It already looks better (showing the rides in our track record on the park pages with the green box).

Can you do better? I'd say it's a huge improvement over the last version. And maybe you should try using it for a while before complaining.

Thank you, Jeff! lol

I'm still have some (constructive) criticism though... :)

The boundary between News and Recent Topics is confusing me. Could you change the font color or size of the Recent Topics to differentiate it from the News?

EDIT: Ehh, just read the "Quote Feature" thread...

More layout issues, this time w/ overlapping sections:

The page opens up a great deal without the ads. Perhaps consider becoming a member so the ads disappear.

That means a lot coming from an infrequent site user outside the web industry.

Jeff,

Sorry about starting a new topic. I looked around and must have missed that a topic had already been started. If I had seen it I wouldn't have posted a whole new topic.
