New Coaster Toy: Six Flags Cool Coasters

Just a warning for you guys.

The set you find at KB comes in a larger box like the Mind Eraser/Revolution set found in the wholesale clubs for $19.99. However, even though it is the larger box it does not come with the extra blaster and the 4 feet of extra track as in the bonus/wholesale club set. I have a post up near the top that has a link to a pic I took of the Mind Eraser/Revolution box if you want to see it. Oddly enough neither of my sets (the bonus, and the original Wal-Mart set) have any sticker that says "collect all 12." The original box was long and narrow. The KB and bonus set are the same length but also wider.

Regarding the high speed of this thing...

Remember with any model that GRAVITY DOES NOT SCALE! ANY working model at small scale of a gravity-powered device is going to run wicked-fast. Sorry, that's just the way the world works.

This toy is awesome and i play with it like every day between hyper rails and no limits of course. tonight i am buying either set
Well I just got mine at a KB toys in Northern California. I love it! The only problem is that mine always valleys. Even when I change the layout, but its all good.

I just found out that if you try to get it back in the box it is VERY difficult, it took me an hour to put it away. (I was cleaning my room)

Ride On!
Just did a major update on my site, http://www.geocities.com/coaster_m_and_m_18/index.html
*Can't we all just be nice?*

same here!!!! My mom said it took up too much space.

Mine always valleys too. I always try to keep the track sloping down all the way back to the booster to stop it from valleying.

My favorite layout so far was a top hat into a corkscrew. It was awesome. Pretty good for having only one set huh? I want to get another set but I don't want to blow another 20 bucks that fast. Maybe I can get a few more sets for Christmas. 20 bucks is a lot to blow on one thing when your 13 and your only source of income is your cheap father.

I get paid 10 bucks a week so last night i went out and spent my 20$ on the 1st set and now i have so much fricken track i don't know what to do!!!! Oh and i figured something cool out!!! one word: BATWING

If it's a Six Flags product, it will probably break down. -Just like their rides. Six Flags is a discrace to the amusement park industry. I live by Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. -What a sorry excuse for a park. Cedar Point makes Six Flags look like a street fair.
Amazing. We went almost five whole pages without someone bringing up Cedar Point. What does CP have to do with a Six Flags toy?

What does Six Flag's parks have to do with their toys? Come on people. Think about it.
Six flags just incorperates it cause they basically have every type of coaster in the book. I mentioned in a earlyer post that they are going to have a 4-d invention!!!!!

C'mon Dave....we just KNOW that you pre-test on the moon just so you CAN "scale" gravity...;)

How dare you call yourself an enthusiast you idiotic little fanboy. It's immature fools such as yourself that ruin the expeirience of discussion throughout the enthusiast community. No one asked or commented on cedar fair or any of their themeparks. Either shutup about that subject or goto another forum.

edit: Also, this site is called Coaster Buzz Not Cedar Fair Buzz if you want to only discuss cedar fair and it's parks then visit another site.

P.S. Read the Terms of Service Agreement which YOU have already AGREED TO before you post crap like that again.

I agree with Colonel Sanders. This is a thread about a toy! How did Cedar Fair get into this? If you want to post in this thread post about the coaster toy. If you want to bash SF then go do it some where else.

While previous post indicating gravity cannot be scaled are perfectly correct, you can still design your coaster to look more realistic. Make the ride so that at the top of hills, inversion, etc. the train is going very slow. This will give it that lose speed, gain speed look rather that the whip through the course so fast you could blink and miss it look.

Also like so other people have mentioned, it is imperative that the supports are succured to the floor, by tape or something, as without secured supports the train uses a large portion of it's energy to move the structure.

Use WD-40 on the wheels of the trains to get more out of your ride. I was able to get my latest coaster to run with three cars when I lubed the wheels up.

Awesome coaster CoasterMan. It has a very creative layout. How many sets did you use? I'm guessing two. I have only one set. I don't think I'll be getting a 2nd one anytime soon though.
