Truthfully... I believe the first shots of this little "fight" were fired by Derrick when he gave a rather arrogant response to Dexter's insightful post and that "little story about [himself]". I think that was the last time the voice of reason was heard in this post.
(just thought I would get my two cents in on this one before the "closed" sign goes up on this thread)

U know, I'm not really worrying about it. I know what I want to do with life. Like it or not Iam ok, I'll be the making the big bucks. Hell u might even be one of the customers at my park riding my park's roller coasters while I'll be at my desk doing things for my park.

Judging by the intelligence of your posts Derrick, you DO need college. Badly. If you honestly think you're going to be a human wonder and accomplish all this by age 35, then keep on dreaming. It's possible, but not realistic or likely. In fact, it's virtually impossible. Exactly WHERE do you plan on getting the millions upon millions of dollars needed to build a theme park?

It could happen. Look at Michael Jackson...
Only in america can a poor african american grow up to be a rich white man. It is possible. I don't think it will happen when you are 35 though. Definately go to school, nobody will venture into business with you if you do not go to school.
Can we just get back on the subject........
Although I've already posted and don't have much to add I'd just like to say good luck with your park and to follow your dreams. People say you can't, but inreality they just wish they had the guts to try themselves.

Den - the only reason you're not up there with me being sarcastic is because you're trying to prove the "I'm-too-mature-to-put-people-down" statement.
And Derrick, for the record... get real. And if you still consider being a multi-billionaire - consider this post as motivation to prove me wrong.

Hey, I Am Ok, you say in another thread that this isn't "psychologybuzz.com." Now who's giving the advice?
And I'm not above sarcasm and insults. It's just that I use them only on people who deserve it. Derrick's innocent question didn't. Yours do.

Michael Jackson owes tons of money after Invincible tanked.
Well.. whatever. I don't care. I'm sick of arguing. I think I'll come on here later and argue with you some more when I'm bored. Den, you're obviously letting this get to you, and that's why I keep doing it. So, keep being your angry old self, and I'll keep being entertained.
I've got the same type of goal. I havn't set an age at which I want to operate my park...but I know that one day I will. The University of Central Florida is the only school I've found with Theme Park Management classes within thier Hospitality school. It might be something that a future park owner would want to try out. I was a ride/show intern supervisor at Islands of Adventure this summer thanks to the UCF Rosen School of Hospitality. I'm a sophomore right now.

Well, considering you'd have to be American to be an African-American, that's probably true.
Here's a little bit of trivia: 1n 1989, Miami University accepted a student who claimed to be African-American. When he arrived at school, and the school saw that he was white, they dismissed him. Turns out he was the child of two white South Africans, making him an African-American. He sued the school and won. You could look it up.
Secondly, I can use the fingers on one hand to count the number of musicians that could afford a Six Flags-sized theme park, if they used every dime they had.
1. The Rolling Stones. 2. There is no number two. I would suggest learning a little bit more about the way recording contracts are structured, D-after all, TLC made about $30K each from their first record. Most recording artists end up owing their labels money. Sarah McLachlan owed her label 5 million after her first three records.
Dreams are great, but they should be founded in reality. I wish you the best of luck, but please, put some thought into things before you post.

87 different coasters for this year and counting... 149 total!
If you are so good at Math, then you would probably know a lot about probability, correct? You might also know the law of averages, correct? My estimated probability for anyone to make 100 mil. in music is 1/100,000. The 100,000 is the number of people in the business. Also, you can just look at the income tax limits based on percentage of the population. I hope that you make it, but first of all, you will need to go to a 4-year college and maybe get an MBA if you really hope to succeed. I would go to your park if it meets your dreams, but I sincerely don't think it will. Good Luck on your 20 year road.
