Muslims get SFA discount?

Interesting article on SFA at newsmax.com.

What stops people from just saying they are Muslim to get the discount, I wonder?
not to be prejudice, but that aint right. why not have something for every religion?

If your really evil in this life, do you come back as toilet paper????
ladies and gentlemen, due to an increase in line jumping, people caught cutting in line will no longer be ejected from the park. u will be ejected from the ride

I wonder how the moron who wrote that can live with stupid generalizations. It's that kind of stupidity that has people harassing Muslims by association.

I hate stupid people.

I wonder if Newsmax would have the same objection if The Christian Coalition did the same thing?
Why would they do that, that just gives more reason for discrimination

Any large group can probably request a discount. Most school groups probably get a discount.

Most school groups get the rates to get into the parks down to about 10 dollars per person, pretty good in my opinion, but if I am correct, which, I probably am not, but I think SFTP can actually write-off the discount on the taxes that the company has to pay.

If you're a season pass holder there's no real need to worry about it.
that article was very racist. and parks do hold christian music celebrations and the like.

What a horrible article. Of course they have a right to say what they did, but that sure as hell doesn't make it right.

Awful stereotypes, the assumption that all muslims are terrorists. Thats like saying all christians are in the KKK.

All of these posts and you guys still don't get the "punch line" of the editorial. The guy made a generalization that Muslims are all terrorists.

Has everyone turned off their brain since school let out?

This whole thing strikes me as ridiculous.

So if someone really wants a discount at SFA, all they have to do is blow themselves up... Oh wait, that defeats the purpose.

Planned parks: Astroland, Knoebel's, Hersheypark, SFNE, SFGadv,SFGam,CP,PKI,PKD,PCW,HW,Indiana Beach,SFWOA,SFKK,SFDL,SFSTL,Lakemont,DelGrosso's... Need I say more?

Limbacher obviously has no grip on reality. Amusement parks have been labeled as a target for terrorism since 9/11, and there are still many people that make an association between Muslims in general and terrorism. It is the social responsibility of the travel industry to help erase that stereotype. Even if SFA was doing this only for Muslims, that would be OK, however they are probably making a quick judgement (as usual) and not seeing this as a typical group outing, where a group (from an organization, business, club, whatever) can buy discounted tickets and a picnic in the park. Stupid idiots.

SOB crew in twenty 02

3 more days, then my brain will shut down.

In all honesty, I see where he's coming from. But that sure as heck don't make it right.

If a Jedi Knight group decided to have a Jedi day at a park, did the appropriate planning etc, then those fellas would get in for whatever price the park charged them for the booking.

Maybe if the Taliban was sponsoring the event, then there might be some ground for such comments, but even then, you wouldn't expect comments like that to come out of a credible (is it?) news site.

I could see that punch line coming from the moment I had the writers opinion figured out, which was that first sentence.

So what if the best coaster in Australia is a second hand Arrow?

Credible? Hah. All newsmax is, is a poor excuse for a web site. Who cares if its Muslim Family Day, they deserve that. What they don't deserve is dicrimination, and that is apparently what newsmax creates for Muslims, which is a shame.

That crappy article should be torn down... but oh well...

I thought the article was a (sick) joke--you mean they were serious?????
