MouseZoom, a new sister site to CoasterBuzz, has been launched in a preview mode. The site features the next version of the forum application, still under development, as well as DeepZoom photos. When you view a DeepZoom photo, you can view it full screen, then use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and see details.
The site will continue in "beta" mode for several weeks while we make tweaks and improvements, and upload more photos. Register for an account in the forums today!
Visit MouseZoom.
I'm not sure I'd want to have another site with "buzz" in the name. (/says the guy who owns uobuzz.com)

I keep getting the "Sorry, the verification link you followed or code you entered is not valid. Need to verify an existing account?" When I try to verify.
Also, is there a way to post Disney pictures on the site?
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I just discovered the problem. You might want to consider telling people to disable their pop-up blocker when using MouseZoom.
I know, I know. I will disable it for the site.
Actually, it's a good thing that the zoom feature doesn't work with a pop-up blocker. You could advertise that fact, which would encourage people to disable it.
I also don't like the magnifying glass icon covering up the thumbnail. It makes it difficult to decide if I want to view a particular photo.

If you can't verify with the link, you're already verified. And no, the public at large will not be submitting photos.

Travis, if you're having problems with a pop-up blocker keeping you out of MouseZoom features, then you probably need a better browser. The zoom feature should work fine for me, and I'm running Safari with pop-up blocking enabled.
I say "should work" because I've already run into problems, but that's a topic for a different forum...

I'm just wondering what failed for you, as I'm not getting pop-ups or new tabs. The biggest problem I have run into was that I don't have a scroll control on my laptop.
As far as popup blocking goes, I have found that Internet Explorer has the most brain-dead pop-up blocker I have ever seen; what is particularly deranged is that if you tell it to allow a pop-up that it shouldn't have blocked in the first place (because it was the result of a user request), it proceeds to reload the page, and if that page was full of data you just spent ten minutes entering, all of your entries are now *gone*. I guess it avoids letting through some pop-ups that it shouldn't that way, but still.....

^Funny you should mention that, because two nights ago my wife was forced to use IE to fill out a particularly tough form for lab supplies. It took her at least 45 minutes to fill it out, then the pop-up blocker reloaded the page and destroyed everything. Fun times...
Popup blockers should have nothing to do with it. The site doesn't have any. The full-screen photo functionality is no different (technically) from any site that does full-screen video.

Well, I turned off Ad Block Plus add on for Firefox, and it worked. I don't know how it worked, but it did.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
If anyone is still interested in, but hasn't signed up for the site, please give it a try now. I think the issues around e-mail verification have been resolved, but I would like to make sure.

^This is my exact problem, still. I keeps telling me I can't post until I've verified my account, but I never get the verification e-mail.

So I checked my spam filter, and lo and behold there were four different verification e-mails waiting for me. I opened one and clicked on one, and was told my account had been verified.
Now, new problem. When I click on 'Post a reply', a box doesn't open. In fact, the 'Post a reply' button then disappears and nothing else seems to happen.

Your account won't get verified with the passage of time... you need to use the link in the newest verification e-mail or paste in the code as listed from that e-mail.
What browser/OS are you using, Mike? I've tested it in virtually every thing. Are you using any weird "security" software that might interfere with Javascript?
Jeff - Editor - CoasterBuzz.com - My Blog
I've got to say, I'm running Google Chrome in both Windows 7 64-bit, and on Google Chrome OS (Yeah, I got a CR-48 :) ), and I haven't had any issues at all.
I did use the link in the newest verification, and it even gave me a message that my account had been verified. But when I click a 'Post a reply' button, the screen clears for a microsecond and then refreshes with the same thread, only now without the 'Post a reply' button.
I'm running Firefox 3.6.15 on Windows XP, Security is CA Internet Security Suite.

It's probably the security software. That stuff is crap, and in my opinion generally not useful. If you don't use IE6 or download strange stuff, you probably don't need it. I strongly recommend Microsoft Security Essentials if you're worried. It's free, and a lot less intrusive than most "security" software.
