Most unbareable que lines

I also hate MF at the begining of the queue because it tend to bottleneck as the line op has to explain to these people that they cannot take anything on this ride that doesn't fit into a pocket, and the people think they are an exception and have to block the entrence and agrue forever, along with the people who don't think to get their kids a height wrist band, then argue that there kid was let on earlier in the day. I dunno about you guys but I tend to not bring anything to a park that doesn't fit into a pocket, and if we have kids with us we get the height wrist bands that a good number of parks give you for kids.

Also after a storm when they reopen some of the rides and the people line up outside of the queue area then people find it becessary to try to cut since lines don't apply to them. Although I will say at CP last fri there was one line op that handled it pretty well since she was by herself having tons of people screaming and arguing with her as well as catching some of th eline jumpers.

Chang. Although they recently improved it by putting a green shade cover over the bulk of the queue, people can't figure out that it would be smart to stand in the shade.

Ryan, what about that terrible (not a powerful enough word) section right before the stairs where the air pressure release blasts into the ground, virtually deafening you for 10 minutes. They should supply earplugs for the queue. It isn't even remotely funny, or wise.

I'll give TTD another vote here as a bad one. I also think that X has one of the worst queues, simply because of the funnel at the entrance to the station. It is a decent idea to put the front line queue far from the entrance to the platform, but there's so many people backed up for the last row that cutting, overheating, etc. is rampant!

Hmmmm, I must be odd....I love Batman's queue. Especially since those switchbacks are NEVER even 1/4 full on a day besides Saturday.Themeing excellent.

I hate Ninja at SFOG. Waiting in a line knowing I will be needing aspirin in a few minutes is dreadful(forced on by friends).

I'm so friggin' sick of people who think the Crystal beach Cyclone would have been a great coaster. Woohoo ! I just rode this great ride , and Now My arm is broken and my tailbone is Bruised!

Raptor. Awesome Ride, Horrible Queue.
Son of Beast in the opening year was the worst line I have even been in! It was over 100 degrees in the shade that day and we had to stand in the hot sun for two hours before we got up to the shaded station. Then we waited another half an hour for the front! I was so crazy to do that but the front was a lot of fun. It was my first time riding it so I waited that long, I would not do that now! There is no shade in that line except in the station and under the bridge. What was even worse was my friend that went with me had decided to wear jeans and two t-shirts that day... he is funny about the way he dresses I guess and doesn't like to change into something he hasn't worn before because he would refuse to wear shorts. He wouldn't even take off one of his shirts! I know he had to be suffering even more then I did!

From experience, the worst is Millennium Force. All switchbacks with nothing but people ahead, behind, and on the side of you. You can actually smell the stench of sweat and feel the heat off the other people in line - it's disgusting. Plus, the songs that DJ play are not suited for a queue line.
Screamin' Eagle @ SFSTL gets my top pick. Not only is it run down and crappy, they almost seem to use cardboard for the lines and station, once you get into the line you not only can't see out but it is very thin and it smells bad.

I'll give another to Chang because of the carlessness of the GP, it made it dirty.

Viper @SFGAM and SFMM both suck, @ GAM the line itself didn't bogther me, when I went I waited about 20 min for the first car, than 30 min from closing it was a complete walk on, but the exit is agonizing.

Ozark Wildcats exit is really bad, but the ride is really good so it evens out.

Raptor's que line can be pretty bad when the whole thing is full.

Well, I think Superman UF at SFGAdv que is horrible. Don't let it be a hot day if so, I'll remember to bring my roasting oil. No kind of shade from start to finish and this could be a 2 hour wait on most days.

I agree - Chang's queue is aweful, especially the first time you ride it and aren't prepared for that horribly loud blast of air. The one train operation is also extremely frustrating.

I think the worst line is Dulling Dragons at IOA. If there is no one in line, you still have to walk thru all the switchbacks. They do not have a chain to open or close the switchbacks; they are all just blocked off by walls or bars. When I went it took at least 5 min. to reach the station.

OperyLand USA has air conditioning units in the bull pens and queue areas. Tennessee does get that hot. Waiting in line is all part of the experience but waiting in line with the hot sun beating down on you is torture. Water misters, water fog, fans, more themed canapies, trees - real or artificial can help greatly. It is amazing how ride engineers can come up with some great rides but when it comes to social engineering their heads are so hollow you can actually hear echoeing when you speak with them about the subject.

The right of way to ride either by schedule or by opening up the wallet is not a favorate with me. You pay a good buck to get in the park. You pay a good buck to park the car so you can get in the park. Now some parks are saying Pss slip me some more money and I can let you ahead of all these suckers who have been waiting in line for a good hour or two in this blazing heat to ride the attraction. The concept creates a different class for the people willing to pay. It's an amusement park for crying out loud. I am surprise the concept has not fizzled out yet or they brought in extra Xerox copy machines to print up additional complaint forms for park operations. Wait in the que line like everyone else just make the wait more comfortable.
My list of horrable queues:

* Magnum when totally full (it moves quickly, but just knowing it's normally much shorter hurts me to the core *tear*)

* Raptor when full. Too hot, not enough shade

* Beast when full. Come on! Why am I in a cage!?

* Tomb Raider. What? There's more of a line back there?

* Son of Beast. Just the fact that a queue exists.

* DelayJa Vu @ SFMM. Oh so hot, oh so little shade, oh so long intervals

* Top Thrill Dragster. What the hell is that wall there for? Has *anyone* figured it out yet? Also, why can't they put trash cans in the line where people can reach them?

* Legend. The mazes are so freaking narrow that you can't talk to your group. I understand that the queue area for Legend is short on space, but couldn't the park come up with a better plan?

* Racer at Kennywood. Let's pack a few more people into a small space, shall we? While we're at it, let's mention Thunderbolt too... same idea.

* Lightning Racer. Who's that nerd of a DJ they got to do the spiel? "And the winner is... thuuuunder!"

Homepark: Cedar Point
Home-away-from-homepark: Paramount's Kings Island

Hulk; IOA. Cool scenery, but extremely loud sfx and looping video clips give me a headache

Disaster Roller Coaster (aka. Diasater Transport);CP. Room after room. Not worth it.

Magnum; CP. Most of the line is okay, but once you get into the station, complete mess.

Well, I used to be able to see TTD from my house, then I moved.
Life's not fair.

I havent really had any probs with the Station Platform on Magnum all but one of my CP trips the queue wait hasn't been longer than 15-20 min for front or back seat, but Raptor and Mantis are the worst, esp Raptor they cram you in there then yell to move down but theres one problem the damn platform is competely full, but I ignore them and stand where I want.

On TTD the only thing I can think for it is to hide the line.

I also find the coasters without preferntial seating a pain, although I generally luck out and get to sit where I want.

Also not that I actually ride these more than once or twice a year but I find it a riot when Blue Streak and Mean Streak, and Disaster Trans (heck I remember waiting in that line when it started way outside the building and wound through that huge maze they call a queue line what a waste that was) at CP have a line, have to feel for the suckers in those queues. Can you imagine waiting to ride those coasters just to get pissed off because they suck.

I also get pissed at places like CLP and KW in line, I don't know why I don't think I ever had a line longer than 15 min at either park except for PR, but it's wierd I'll go to CP where a 15 minute line is a sign from above but get pissed at these parks, I dunno?

That's so ironic. Other than the long intervals between dispatch, I don't understand how the DV at Magic Mountain is "oh so hot" with "oh so little shade" when it is completely surrounded by tall trees, and 1/2 of the queue is covered by a canopy.

The three worst queues I have ever waited in are...

*X-Flight with a single train operation. Earlier in the season they didn't have the canopy up or the fans on so you are in direct heat for almost an hour and a half.

*Mantis because of the low capacity and for some reason that line seems longer than all the others. You are so thankful once you reach the station, but you don't get to sit down. You have to stand to ride. So your hour and a half of waiting in the hot sun is magnified when you don't get to sit. I use the freeway now on this ride.

*Raptor is also up there because there is no attempt at shade. 3/4 of the queue is in direct sun and there aren't any fans at all. No moving air because you are under the coaster and next to the station. Too many bad experiences for me in this line including my 40 year old cousin passing out and then the water guy not understanding that we needed immediate help.

X-flight under a tent in major heat for 2 hours, really boring. TTD could be the worst, nothing to see and a ton of switch backs. Also I hate space mountain at WDW.

I dont mind Dueling dragons because it was only 20 minute wait tops when i went...
A little off topic but does anyone know how long the wait for Dueling dragons is when the queue is totally filled (everything open to the entrance)?

Well to be honest I didnt think that TTDs que was that bad...but I did think that it was one of the worst ques for a ride at Cedar Point the Djs missing...I am clueless as to why there isnt a DJ....but it would prolly be worse if I was alone but I had a very frightened friend with me so I could tell him "its sooooo big and fast" LOL...but I can see it being alot worse if you were alone...
