I think that the mindbender at galaxyland layout is pretty original. It would have to be to fit it in such a small place. The drops are so steep and tight, and the lift actually turns on the way up! That is the only time I have seen that happen, aside from in RCT! Plus, it's an extremely intense ride because of the limited space, and it goes through, and loops around some of the walkways! What a great and original ride!
i like roars layout even though it is a clone there is no straight track anywhere!
Revolution at SFMM has a very unique layout. It start off as a mini hyper then converts into a diving tirning ride. It uses the land quite well, making it very unique in my book.

Dan I was gonna say SFNE's SROS too. It's a pity that the name makes people think it's a clone.
Basically it's just having to squeeze onto that tiny spot that makes the layout so original anyway...but if that's what works, then so be it. I still adore it. :o)

Who will need to go to SFNE at least once this season to get her fix.
I think the Raging Bull .. And it is the Best drop ive even been on, especially in the back row..
The Cedar Creek Mine Ride at CP is very strange. First you start by going through the maintinence shed/barn about 50 feet long. Go up the lift and drop three feet.
A few turns, and drop down over the lagoon. More turns, headchopper, and a second (half) lift hill that does not even drop, it goes into a flat staight-away. More turns, stright-away, sharp right hand turn, tight helix and back to the station. That is the oddest layout.
Crystal Beach Cyclone is the most wicked layout I have ever seen, she looks like she would need articulated cars.
The Beast has the best land use overall. It covers a lot of terrain when seen from terraserver.com. Magnum also uses her very narrow layout well, "I can see Canada." Actually they are probably seeing Marblehead on Put-in-Bay, definatly not Canada or even Pelee Island.

Expedition Ge Force and SROS(SFNE) are definitely my favorite steel layouts. Raging Bull comes in a close second.
The Beast and The Legend have my favorite wooden layouts.

Expedition Ge-Force, is by far, the winner in my opinion. Those two overbanked turns, one on top of the other, looks so cool...

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax, I pay the Homer Tax.
Kumba was the original B&M mega looper layout. Then the floorless coasters started using a same inversion layout(Medusa SFGAdv)

Most original has to be Cornball Express.
That ride could not reall fit anywhere else. Any other CGI coasters have original layouts.
Hulk is also made to make the most out of it's position.

I saw the videos at cci's website and the wooden medusa at Six Flags Mexico looks like it has a really cool layout. I also like the layout of Rampage
I think the most original layout for a coaster is Thunderbolt, even though it is an out-and-back coaster it takes full advantage of the parks ravineous landscape, and it saves the longest drop for last.
NEMESIS!! What compares?:)
I'll have to agree that Incredible Hulk has a rather original layout, especially with the bang-bang-bang placement of the first three inversions right after the launch. Stunning.
I also see Six Flags Great Adventure's Batman and Robin: The Chiller as very original. It took the shuttle coaster to a whole new level, not only with more unique inversions, but a heartline roll in mid-climb. Plus, I believe it was the first coaster to turn you 180º to launch you up the hill, unlike rides like Montezooma's Revenge that had you always going in one forward direction. If I'm wrong, someone please POLITELY correct me. Thanks!
As for wood coaster layouts, Son of Beast is simply incomparable: the loop itself is worth the price of admission. Also lovely is the Twister at Knoebel's and, of course, the Raven. Now, I've never actually been ON these three (check my track record, folks...the lack of Hulk will be amended in one short week...) but they all look fairly *****ing to me.
FYI, the ***** is supposed to be a synonym for a "female dog". When did CB start editing? I never noticed this before?

I agree with BMCOASTER, B:TR, but only the one at SFGAm. Otherwise it is just a pathetic clone! How much more unoriginal can you get by building a clone?
