Gatekeeper all the way. Can't wait to see the completed Iron Rattler though. I hope Cedar Point does the same thing with Mean Streak in the next few years.
Vater was making a joke when he said Dragon Wagon, knowing full well that it was a real ride, but that nobody in their right mind would be excited about riding it. Also, in the past, there have been heated discussions about whether it's even a coaster or not.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
I didn't know that either, and I've been here since...'08, I think.

is "dragon wagon" some sort of inside joke?
It's so inside, only I know about it...and find it funny.
Heh....it's like the anti-Maverick.

Gatekeeper for sure since CP is home park. But if I had to choose 1, I would go with Outlaw Run. that ride looks crazy!
Andy - I am jealous! I would love to make it over and ride Shambhala. I drool every time I look at photos of that ride!
Jerry - Magnum Fanatic
Famous Dave's- 206 restaurants - 35 states - 2 countries
My most anticipated rides for 2013: White Lightning, and the duo of re-envisioned TX steelies of Iron Rattler and NTG (which will be new-to-me). Maybe the new Gringott's ride...but that seems to be missing entirely from RCDB, so I'm not sure if that's slated for 2013 or not...
Gator, are you planning on Tejas when the rest of us are looking around Labor Day?
Clint - "if it's Labor Day, this must be Schlitterbahn." Actually not sure of the precise itinerary, but New Braunfels, San Antonio, and Arlington are all MUST-do visits. Done the Kemah thing, and BB is a great ride...but that is a serious trek. Kind of sad that Big Tex burned down, we actually side-tripped out to the fairgrounds one year only to find he was *in storage.*

I riding gatekeeper on opening day may 11. I hope it is an early entry ride.
I dunno..somehow I wouldn't bet the farm on it being early entry.

Oh, I'd bet my farm and yours too, Mike. It's right here...

However, Tyler Boes, watch it on opening day. There may be delays due to ceremony, first rider auction/contests, things like that. But it looks like its good for other operating days, if not that one too.
If a "Dragon Wagon" is one where tires lift the ride and gravity does the rest, it's a bona-fide roller coaster. but if it has a cog wheel motor ("Powered Coaster") i do not consider it a coaster, IMHO.
I still haven't ridden Leviathan...yeah, I know, 2012. But if it's really that much better than Millennium Force, I need to go to CW and find out. So that's also on my list.
I'm going to Kings Dominion and Canada's Wonderlandfor the first time this year so I'm excited to ride the Gigas. Of course I'll be at Cedar Point on Opening Day :)
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

I didn't realize they open that many attractions for early entry.

Yeah, it's gotten better over the years, sometimes you can even catch TTD if they get it up and running.
The early entry rides have usually included the new exciting ride for that year plus at least one nearby family friendly ride or area nearby. (see Ocean Motion/Midway Carousel) Looks like no Windseeker or maXair this time...
Tip for this year: (if you haven't thought of it already) Park in the Soak City lot and take the cee-ment boardwalk behind Breakers to the less-used entry gate by Windseeker. That'll put you closest to Gatekeeper, close to Raptor, and it's not a bad trot to Millenium Force when official opening time draws near.
I have a feeling that this year the back of the park won't be seeing a lot of action 'til sometime after noon! Frequent visitors who feel like skipping Gatekeeper should be able to snag early rides on Maverick easier than ever.
