more CCity info from SDC Inc

Thanks Jim... I'm in really, really bad mood cause of the game. We had to many critical injuries... What all will be done in the event?(i've never been to one)

Well the agenda has yet to be released to Jeff by the park. All we really know is that we will get a tour of Celebration City.

Is there any chance of an event at SDC and CC during the summer? I would love to go to the winter event, but I live all the way in Eastern PA. I am trying to plan a visit this summer, but are there going to be any events when CC opens?
Not sure, that's a little to far into the future to give a definite answer. I do know that a bunch of ACErs go into MO after SRM, so it is possible to just join in with them. If there is anything that pops up, I'll let you know on here or you can check the ACE event page.

Have they announced further details yet?
They're at IAAPA, so I haven't been able to talk to them for awhile. They are doing coverage for Themeparksonline.org

The article with the SF CEO was done awhile ago, they have quite a few others planned as well as pictures. They did send an update back not that long ago talking about OOF's Paradise Falls attraction. This thing will be huge!!! They said that they have a section of it on display at IAAPA as well as models of it. There will be more coverage as soon as they get back and can upload stuff. -ciao!

I went to SDC today (Sun.) and while driving down I stopped at CC. This is a pic I took of WildCat, it's looking nice. They were working on it today even. It was perfect out, it got up to 73 today. This was also the first time I've ever ridden Wildfire at night, and it...was...AWESOME. I rode Wildfire 28 times today, which increased my total WIldfire rides to 203 all time. I wish SDC stayed open til 10:00 every night during the summer. I also purchased a 03 All-City pass, which lets you into CC, SDC, and White Water... They are getting a new ticketing system next year, the pass is a credit card type of card, so all you have to do to enter the park is swipe it. The double-shot tower is White and green w/ some yellow. Besides that there was not much other stuff going on at CC... They have a huge area by the park with a lot of trees.

With the All-City pass, I asked for additional info on CC.... in the packet, it said..."Ozark Wildcat will be one of 20 rides and attractions, including three coasters. A 60-foot steel coaster named Thunderbolt, and another steel coaster, yet to be named, will be added this winter..." I underlined added because both the Dragon Wagon, and that other Steel coaster from BUSA are still there... are those the two rides? I only ask because it says they're to be added this winter. I dont know if SDC would be satisified with their only Kiddy Coaster being the 'Dragon Wagon' It's a sidgrace to the name 'roller coaster' IMHO. Thats all I about have to say... except also in that packet, it says CC's Laser/fireworks/water/ect. show is being custom designed for the park....

EDIT= How do you post pictures?

Since you already have an account on Yahoo, just upload them in your photo album (http://photos.yahoo.com/). Then of course, post a link for us to see! ;)

I might do that, the only problem was that the pics are very low-res.... one thing I noticed about the construction, the wood is very, very yellow.
Please post them anyway. Low-res is better than nothing!

Is it just me, or does SDC always luck out with new train designs, then having them in the IAAPA. lol,,, i think they got this all figured out here.

hey CoasterBill, if you are going to event - you need to upload a picture to this site on your info page so that we will recognize you when we are there. And since you are such a "big tough football player", I think it would only be fitting if you uploaded a football picture. :) LOL - just picking on you.

and I will have to agree with you on SDC always getting their new coaster's train displayed at IAAPA. It's pretty neat though. From what I heard, this train is not the only part of a Missouri "new" attraction that was on display at IAAPA this year.

Lol, I guess I could do that, I might just wear my football sweat shirt... w/ my digital cam, you wouldn't be able to tell it was a person, lol... Swoosh, what do yo mean by it is not the only part of one, were you refering to the model of T.O.W. they had there?? by t.o.w. I mean The Ozark Wildcat, :) adios.

SDC is adding another "new" coaster at the park... Amusement Today's website says that SDC is installing a 60 foot tall steel coaster called Thunderbolt... this is most likely the former 'Huricane'
