If you would like to see a few pix of the GCI construction go to http://www.cartogra.com/home/home.asp and enter 'jimwolgamuth' in the "view a friend's album" slot. Snapped them on Oct 14.

I'm confused, they state that their building a ten story woodie in the press release along with the picture of it, as we know as the GCI woodie. But now, they talk about an 8 story woodie called the Wildcat. Are there going to be two woodies? An out and back and a twister maybe? They mention both coasters currently on the site, so I am under the essumption that they haven't given us the full story yet.
By the way, you wonder because GCI does have out a back woodie in their catalog that has a 78 foot tall scale.
Nope.. wildcat will be the only woodie built.. I'm not sure why the numbers were mixed up... probably because the original 1999 layout was indeed right at 100 feet.
Trust me, it will still be a top 10 caliber woodie even at 8 stories.. Remember there is 11 feet in 1 "story" :)

Its about 5-6 miles from SDC. This park will be located at the end of the Branson "Strip" (HWY 76) right before the mountainous ascent towards SDC.
Also, this park will be open from 3-11pm which will give families and adults more to do in the evening hours, which Branson is VERY lacking. Of course, unless you like riding go karts or playing mini-golf

Well besides the fact that SDC has no lights in the park, the reason why the park closes early is because most shows are at night. Thus they can spend the day at SDC and then catch a show that night. SDC owns more than the park in Branson. Now with CC being built, you can get a CityPass and go to both.
I'm waiting for White Water to get a "city" name now. :)

800,000 years in 7 seconds: Time Machine the movie or next S&S creation?
"So Quoth the Lemon Chill Guy" (TM) (C)
Sounds preatty sweet if they're getting a new S&S ride inside that park. It just makes me drool even more about CCity. Perhaps it could do what RCmuzikGuY say it could do, 800,000 years in 7 seconds!
BTW I hope it as sweet as the one at Magic Springs. I like that lil 80 foot S&S tower.

Vertigo,
The Celebration City coaster differs from GCI's off the shelf model that are in those photos. Take a look at the links posted above. It seems GCI had to make some modifications to fit the piece of land its going on.
