Even more CCity news. Ozark Wildcat wooden coaster; 80ish foot first drop with 45mph speed. Firestorm renamed to Thunderbolt. KMG Afterburner staying as the Fireball. Water and laser show every night at closing. Exit gift shop on Ozark Wildcat. Third coaster to be installed this winter. According to a SDC Inc article on their website. Still not sure if the third coaster is the Dragon Wagon that was already there when the park was in its Branson USA phase or if it will be a different coaster. Time will tell.

Who said it was only 45 mph.?

The operating schedule for CCity has been posted to the SDC site: http://sdcprops.silverdollarcity.com/schedule.asp

This is going to be one heck of a park. Oh the press release Jim was talking about is here:

My lord, it *does* look like the Rye Aeroplane. Tamer, certainly, and with a touch less air, but that profile looks quite Aeroplanish.

CoasterBill1986 - the 45 mph figure comes from the article http://sdcprops.silverdollarcity.com/press_releases/ccozarkwildcat.asp

where Clair Hain Jr talks about the Ozark Wildcat. The 66 mph speed mentioned in other arcticles never made sense as 80 foot drop, I don't believe, would produce 66 mph. Wildfire and the Boss both hit 66mph from a 155 foot drop.

Is anyone *else* planning on a Missouri trip post-SRM this year? The parks were great last year (as were CM and CBCon), but we're *hoping* for better weather this year...and my first rides on Boss won't hurt my feelings neither...;)

I'm sorry, that was an Immature post there. I forgot about that in that article. sorry. But I live in Springfield and plan to go down and take pics of the park throughout the winter. I'll post them somewhere.

CoasterBill1986 - I did not think it was an imature post. Just wanted to point out the article that sets things straight because I have seen a number of articles where it states an 80 foot drop and top speed of 66 mph. I also live in Springfield so maybe we will run across each other sometime taking pictures of the coaster.

gator - I kinda thought about it, but I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. I probably will just go to HW and IB for the weekend, and then go back home.

It will depend on how many of and which ones of my friends come along.

Hey CoasterBill, if you dont mind i was wondering if you could answer a question for me. Exactly how does the whole bring a friend for free work for the All City Season Pass. Do they give you one for each park or what?

CF- Well, from what I understand... Next year with the all city pass, you will get a bring a friend free pass if to all 4 seasons at SDC, 2 for CC, and 2 for WW(both CC and WW are anytime) But that is if you order before like December 31st. If you order after that I think you dont get as many bring a friend passes.

Jim, Do you just show up, or what? and when is it?! thanks

Bill,

Jeff Mast is still working on the flyer. We'll let you know more information when it gets a little closer.

Sounds good, thanks... I cant wait... what weekend is it going to be? do you know?
Hey Jim, you should come out to SCHS tomorrow, we have a big football game.

Bill, I would but I am putting in some overtime at work as I am taking next week off to go to the IAAPA show. Good luck though. The regional ACE event at SDC is on Saturday Decemember 14. Watch www.aceonline.org for more details as soon as Jeff Mast gets the details. Regular one day admission for the SDC Christmas Festival is $31.80 so the event price is a bargain even for non-ACE members plus it is a great way to meet local coaster/park enthusiasts. Hope to see some new faces there (sick of the old faces - just kidding )
