Mitch's Poll: Steel Coaster Results

I haven't ridden Silver Bullet or Xcelerator yet *and* I haven't actually been to Magic Mountain (all of which will hopefully happen at Solace), but X, Scream!, Riddler, Goliath, Superman, Ninja, and Batman still sounds more exciting to me than Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, Ghostrider, and Montezooma. I will say that the SFMM vs. KBF thing was the hardest for me to commit to out of all the SF vs. CF coaster comparisons of what I would be more interested in. I almost left it out, but felt too strongly about my interest in X, Superman, Goliath, and Riddler. ;)

A few people know my story about how interested I was in S:TE and how I wanted to go to SFNE to ride to 200 ft. version... And then was disappointed to see that SFNE's coaster looked nothing like MM's S:TE... Then rode it and was blown away and SROS has been my favorite coaster ever since and probably one of the main reasons I had a huge *enthusiasm* boost. Yay for happy mistakes. :)

CF is better at designing coasters than SF's but I bet you Busch Gardens is the park chain that creates the best flyer. With tunnels, theming, trenches both Alpengeist and Montu have much better desings than Talon and Raptor.

CF especially CP is more into the record breaking. I know Alpen and Montu both broke records but they still came with new elements and a great design.

Their is more to them then just records.

-Eric: Major Parks: SFNE(homepark), SFA,SFGADV,CP,BGE,BGA,Kennywood, and Sea World: Track record 65 different coasters ridden #1 is Millennium Force #2 is El Toro and than there are all the others

I bet Cedar Fair even designed the Huss Giant Frisbee going into Cedar Point. It's way better than PKI's.

Unfinished? So the major pops of air before the 2nd corkscrew, the second corkscrew itself (going from an air pop right into it) plus the tight helix turn pulling the big lateral G's and you think it's unfinished? I have to disagree...

So you've ridden it already to know how much air it will give? Let's not forget how good Timberhawk looked.

Too funny Danny. :)

I love when park corporations are credited with designing coasters...

Busch does a great job with thememing their coasters, and Williamsburg provides some great terrain, which is something that man can only control so much.

Funny stuff Danny, funny stuff...

LOL Frank. Very good point about Timberhawk. I think a lot of people were quite anticipointed with that one only followed by people being wowed by Tsunami and Avalanche.

Interesting sig, btw. Reminds me of the random "I smell ham" Dawn Marie's 'little sister' Autumn said at SFKK this year. What's the story behind that?

Let's see, that would be "overrated troublemaker", "clone", "decent standup but remember that I don't particularly like standups", "boring", "boring one trick pony that's been WAY outclassed", "ok", and "good clone that I can catch at many different Six Flags parks".

My opinion, of course, but SFMM REALLY didn't impress me at all, whereas I had an absolute blast at Knott's.

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

Actually that'd be "troublemaking masterpiece," "mirrored clone," "best B&M standup ever (and I loathe standups)," "fun and intense," "look ma! I'm tall!," "2nd best suspended in existance," and "yeah, I'm a bit overdone."

You were close, though. ;)

No, no, no...its "slow crew," "slower crew," "even slower crew," "slowest crew," "crew so slow they move in reverse," "crew with three speeds: slow, slower, and stop," "you think the other crews are slow? Look at us!" ;)
Silly Moosh. Not all of us go to the parks to ride the crews, but I figured you'd enjoy longevity. ;)

When you get older, Danny, you kinda apprecate things like FREQUENCY of riding too...;)

But I love Goliath, so what do I know...but Titan IS even better, LOL...:)

Of course, I also enjoyed Abandon Mine...;)

SFMM would be a *supafantastic* park if it had a clone park on the other side of the hill where all the people went to stand in line, and the park WE went to had good fast friendly clean efficient operations, and SOME kind of wooden coaster maintenance...but I loved X, and as far as the overall STEEL-only collection, I'd have taken the park over KBF (yes, even WITH the properly-run Anton)...but will re-evaluate with the new Beemer...;)

Errrr no. But that's what it "looks" like it will give. And I'm not sure what Timberhawk looks or rides like...because I don't know where it is, and have never ridden it...so I can't say I follow ;)

But that's what I *think* it will be like...at least by ride descriptions and stuff, that's what it will be like. I guess there's only way to find out...

*meditates to pyschic abilities, to contact the heads of B&M, whoever designed the ride*

Everyone now! *all chants HUMMMMMMMM....*

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Seriously, man.. take piece of paper and pencil. Then use it to write a letter. Next, put it in an envelope and write B&M's address on it.

Much quicker, and won't strain your brain as much

;)

Danny, my sig is a line from that movie where Matt Damon plays half of a siamese twin. A guy gets hit in the temple with a dart and turns to his friend and says "I taste ice cream."
