Millennium Force , What is it like ?

sorry for repeating myself, i thought my computer crashed
I'm sorry quailroberts, but unless (a). the speed limit is 93 mph on the freeway or (b). you feel like getting pulled over, riding in a car with the windows rolled down does not feel like riding Millenium Force. I wish it would though.

Gravity is your friend! Think about how boring riding a coaster would be in Zero-G. LIM's would be required.
SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED And teh overbanked curves are unreal. Everyhting from the lift to the brake run are fast, Millie is just unbelievable.  Of course I would take Maggie over Millie if given the choice, but I am an airtime whore anyways. But millie has stuff maggie doesn't, namely that out of control runaway train feeeling and oh yeah look over towards sandusky on the first drop, it looks liek the world goes sideways, unreal.

go with gravity:  MF is only 93 mph at the bottom of the first hill.  It's average speed is about 60 or 70, normal highway driving speed.

And I'd like to clarify that I do not think that it is a bad ride.  I was only saying that for the amount of money CP spent on it they could have built 2 or 3 rides that were each as fun as MF.

It enters the brakes at 65 mph...so the average speed is probably around 75.

What do you mean 2 or 3 other rides? Do you mean coasters or flat rides? It would cost way more that that for 2 B&M's.

It only cost 25 million for MF, and I'd take the world first [and best] giga over a flat ride any day.

Mayday - Memorial Day Weekend - Nonpoint, Nickelback, Oleander, Staind
Ozzfest - June 8 - Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Black Sabbath
Awake Tour- June 15 - Darwin's Waiting Room, Puddle of Mudd, Deftones, Godsmack

Well you could build 6 to 8 greats CCI Woodies for 25 Million :) Hehehehehe I would go for that I suppose but Millie is still just unbelievable.

Its finnicky.  Its always wonderful, but when its running its hottest, around midnight in the summer, watch out.  It turns into an absolute MONSTER.  Euphoria is the optimal word here.

Allow me to disagree and say that MF was a waste of money for CP.

I don't see how it can be considered a waste of money when it is currently the benchmark for steel coasters. I'm not saying it's the best; just that it's the one all the others are compared to. Between coaster shows and word of mouth the thing advertises itself.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

Our beloved MILLENNIUM FORCE is the most exciting ride I have ever been on. (Although I have not ridden the SROS thang yet) I've been on every ride at SFGA, SFMM, PKI, CP, and SFWOA and although it can't really be compared to an inverted coaster...............

.........NOTHING EVEN COMES CLOSE!

Here's a way to compare it to an invert...sit in one of the backs of a car. Before you pull down your lapbar, make sure you have enough room to be your feet above the steel blocks in front of them on the floor. While going up the lift, lift your feet up so that one goes between the front two seats, and one is on the outside of the front seat.

The feeling is unreal, especially on the first drop and 3rd hill because you literally touch nothing but the lapbar. Incredible!

MF is a site to behold.....the only coaster I ever had dreams about riding before I rode it. It is consistent all the way thru. I'm definitely a speed/height junky so this means a lot to me. The front is indescribable, air time over every hill; the back you really feel those g's. I had the luck (?) of riding it in the rain on a Halloweekend Sunday. Now that was a show of sheer Force! After my first couple of rides in the spring of this year, I was so inspired I got the MF "m" logo tattooed on my shoulder.

I wish Mean Streak was this good...But I dont know yet.....
I love reading all of these posts, you guys have took the words right out of my mouth.. I have rode The Force 70 times so far, and I'm floored each and every time we pull into the station. The previous post about it at midnight in the summer is absolutely true. The mother just smokes by the end of the night.  It will always be my last ride of the night, always!
I was looking at the pictures of MF and on the first turn it looks like it practically turns upside down.  What is the angle on this turn, what it like?
