Millennium Force , What is it like ?

It's like gliding on ice at 90mph. Truly the most exhilirating coaster I have been on.
Wherever you are in the world, get yourself to that Lake Erie peninsula called Cedar Point and ride Millennium Force.

There really is no way to do it justice with words.  The ride is totally intense from the beginning to end, beyond description.  Let me put it in a little perspective ---> compared to MF,  S:ROS (SFNE) is a kiddie coaster.

WOW! All of that sounds to good to be true. That sound like the ULTIMATE coaster. I sure hope I get to go to cedar point next summer.
It's a great ride...it really can't be cloned because it uses the terrain (sorta).

A bad day at Cedar Point is better than a good day at work.
It's a must for an coaster enthusiast.  The first time I rode it I was so scared.  The view form the top is just incredible.  The lift is so fast, you don't have much time to think about what your doing.  About halfway up, the lift speeds up, and you are almost to the top.  Suddenly, you are staring straight down at the ground.  The wind starts blowing into your face, and you float out of seat the whole way down.  Everything is just rushing up at your face.  It is incredible.  The rest of the ride is just awesome. consatant speed, with some great floater airtime.  The island section has great head choppers, and the most extreme overbanked turns.  it has a great ending, that is still going about 60 MPH.  The instant I got off, I wanted to ride again.  You have to get to Cedar Point to ride.

I Survived Millennium Force!

1.) Millennium Force 2.) Steel Eel 3.) Raptor 4.) Mantis 5.) Magnum XL-200

Millennium Force is my favorite coaster at Cedar Point. While the coaster may not be as airtime heavy as another, smaller, coaster in the park, it does offer TONS of speed.  Pehaps that is what I like MF so much. It doesn't let up.  If you are looking for an airtime machine, you may be disappointed with MF. However, if you really like speed, moreso that airtime,  (like myself), than this coaster may be what you are looking for.

The 45-degree lift as as steep as Corkscrew's drop. While going down the 80-degree drop, it feel more like 95-degrees at times.  Out of the 140+ rides I have taken on it, I can easily say I have never had a bad ride on it yet. The past two years I have closed out the CP season on this ride and don't regret it one bit.

MF is a gentle giant. It is so well engineered and handles the rider so carefully that anyone could ride it continuously.

A triumph in roller coaster design and marketing.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

Millenium force is an elgant ride... Smooth as silk, and the speed never lets up till the brake run at the end .

whatcha talkn about willis.....

It's fast. Very fast.

If you're skating on thin ice, you may as well tap dance.

I'd ride it once then forget about it, take Nitro, S:ROS or PR over it anyday, Heck I'd spend more time at Magnum then i would at its big brother.

I had the opportunity to go during the week in May. The lines were about 10minutes and I rode many many times. Millenium Force actually has a bit more to offer than you would realize after just one or two rides. If you sit on the righthand side of the train and lean to your right as it takes the ovrbanked turns, you feel like you are completely upside down and slipping from the train (scary). There are also some head-chopper effects if you notice your head at an angle banked very closely to the "bunny hill" support beams. Again. these effects are more prominent from the righthand side of the train. Would I wait 3-4 hours to ride it, NO. I would NEVER visit a park on a day that busy. Is it WORTH waiting 3-4 hours to ride, HELL YES!

X is the best and it beats all da rest!...Coasterlicius!
You're crazy! :)

MF is nothing short of a religious experience. I say experience because it's not just a ride, the power, air, and speed this dishing out is just undescribeable! Up front at night dropping 300 feet into nothing but darkness will have you second guessing your favorite coaster if it isn't your favorite already...it's that awesome!

Mayday - Memorial Day Weekend - Nonpoint, Nickelback, Oleander, Staind
Ozzfest - June 8 - Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Black Sabbath
Awake Tour- June 15 - Darwin's Waiting Room, Puddle of Mudd, Deftones, Godsmack

Well I know everyone has there own opinion but imo anyone that has actually rode MF and say it wasn't there instant favorite is a very sick person lol.

Imo I think over half the people that say MF is boring or they didn't think it was anything special could not have ridden MF and are just going by what it looks like or what they have heard.

Wow I didn't think I would hear that one. I still love Magnum more than anything but the Force is a very very very close second.  They are both great rides and I love spending marathon days on both of them.  The Po!nters are very lucky to have to great steel coasters like this in one park.

My ONLY Millennium Force words on my FIRST ride were as follows...............oh s**t, oh s**t, oh S**T, OH S**T. Well, you get the idea.
LoL cdrpointcrazy4, my friend still laughs at me, "You sounded so funny while riding Millennium Force." So the ride took my breath and my voice away...

To the people that haven't been on it and say it's boring: Don't knock it til' you've tried it.

I was only able to ride Millennium Force once, and it was an incredible adrenaline rush. Just about undescribable. The 182' hill (after the first tunnel) gives so much airtime, and the hill on the return before the 2nd tunnel gives just as much airtime.

Like a 300' tall giant speed skater on ice, never giving up speed until the very end.

(how ya like that quote? :))

"When this baby hits 88 MPH, you're gonna see some serious $***."

I went on it 12 times on a Halloweekend Friday this year. This was my first time to CP. The amazing part of this ride is that it feels like you are on a superpower piece of machinery. There is so much power on this coaster that it feels like you are sitting in a 3,000 horsepower car. Even going up the lift hill the coaster car feels like a massive beast. It glides through the air but at the same time you can feel the awesome power that is under you.

To be totally honest, I thought after the first drop it would be boring. Boy, was I wrong. The elements are great, especially the overbanked turns. All of the elements seem to flow together and contribute to the goal of making MF a true speed coaster. Since I have riddeen it I have been to PKI, BGT, and Sea World Orlando. It is funny how much you notice the brake run in other coasters after just riding MF. MF doesn't slow down one bit throughout the ride. I don't know of any other coaster that maintains that kind of speed throughout.

It was well worth the 1200 mile flight and the 200.00 rebooking fee it cost me because I had originally planned to go during Millenium Mania when it broke down. I was not going to CP until it was fixed and I am soooo glad I rescheduled.

Start counting down until CP opens again and get out thwere. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Millennium Force actually does use enough electricity to power a couple of houses...
