Millie is not my favorite coaster but it is still awesome. The complaints about air make no sense. You are out of your seat for a longer amount of time on this coaster then any coaster at cp. You get over ten seonds on all three big hills. The ejector in the back seat on the first drop is so intense. Beside people forget the real airtime machine on the other side of the Pennisula.
The second complaint of being to short is ridiculous. It is 7000 feet long for the love of all that is good in this world.
The third of being unimaginative? Comed on, no other coaster has a layout like that. None. Maggie and Timbers have the title of most unimaginative layout and they friggin rock. The Phantom and RB to me are the king of hyper layouts with Millie being close up there.
Millie met all my expectations as I am a life long cedar point goer, and millie
Lastly I could care less what anyone says because to people who aren't enthusiast the thing is the best coaster inthe world. Ask a normal person from Ohio or Michigan (Everybody in Ohio and Michigan go to CP every year and I swear more Michigan peeps then anyone) what there favorite coaster is. They resound with Millenium Force. Each train come back with 36 screaming, yelling, clapping people. the results speak for themselves.
To me Millie is not the best coaster in the world, it's not even the best coaster at cp (Maggie and raptor beat it for me) but is it still awesome? Hell yes and I love it.

Millennium is awesome! No other way to describe it. We were at the point on Memorial Day and in line about sunset. The temp was dropping fast and everyone in line was cold. When we got in the train, the only thing I could think about was the wind chill at 94 MPH. After the first drop, not even a hint of a chill.
So much adrenaline kicks in on this ride that we warmed up in a heartbeat. If this ride does not excite you, I don't know what will.

The worst day at Cedar Point is better than the best day at work.

The best thing to do when riding a coaster is to have no expectations before riding it, then you come off the coaster with a clean judgement. I rode Millie in late May, and it didn't dissapoint in any way. I think it's funny when enthusiasts say they were dissapointed after riding it because it didn't have ejector air, come on people, look at the layout. It does have some great floater air, intense speeds, and the first drop is simply breath-taking, especially in the back-seat where you are literally out of your seat the whole way down, it's amazing to say the least. I love air-time, but speed is an equal aspect for me when riding a coaster. I would also have to say that a ride that is 300 feet does make a difference, it definately adds to the scare factor. Oh ya, the smoothness, and the fact that this coaster is 7000 feet long with no mid-course brakes also adds to the coaster experience.

The only gripe I have about MF is the fact that you are carried up that hill WAYYY to fast. You dont get a chance to appreciate the fact that its 300ft. Before you know it you are heading back down to earth. The speed on this beast is unbelievable and the airtime is sustained for the most part.
I dont know though, while I loved it, I got off feeling like there should have been more. Call me crazy, but I think its the combination of going up the lift to quick and traveling at high speeds where the almost 7,000 ft of track just doesnt feel like its that long.
Other than that, this coaster is a masterpiece and I can see why it would be on alot of peoples top 10 lists.

Ric Flair was hitting on the female host, he told her - "Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it has the longest line." WOOOOO!
Millenium Force was deffinately an awesome ride.
To me, speed and airtime are both a big plus, and millenium force has both. honestly, if you want a ride where you are out of your seat the entire time, ride a space shot or turbo drop. and if you are one of those people who want a ride like magnum that have absolutely nothing but a bunch of airtime hills, then go ahead. thats one less person i have to wait behind for MF.
I have been on ones with airtime, like magnum(which by the way is the roughest ride ever...even worse than FoF w/ OTSR's!)and then there is MF, which has its moments of airtime and has speed. the airtime on the first drop if you are sitting in the back is just INSANE. and the G's at the bottom of that first drop are incredible. then after that(if in the back)you are pulled through all the overbanked turns, which to me speeds up the ending. the fly-by next to the station on that bunny hop gives a sweet sensation of airtime also.
answers to questions:
did i like it? yes.
was it a surprise? not really. lots of POV's, nolimits creations, and pictures make it hard to not know everything about the layout. but when viewing all those, you dont get the feeling you get on the real thing. also, its much larger/steeper in real life too.
is it my #1? yes. i havent ridden enough hypers(S:RoS, magnum, and millie)to say its the best of all, but it was deffinately the better of my experiences.
i dont think you have to ride this with an open mind. just the drop will surprise you. all i can say, is that when you ride this, expect what it is. its a speed-coaster, not another hill after hill airtime packer with a boring layout. it might not be your #1, but you will still like it.
I don't know, Millie thrilled the heck out of me the first times I rode it. A return visit left me wanting.
Speed is great but can ride a motorcycle at 83 and get the same feeling. Elements!!!! S:ROS has them in abundance.
Chuck, who don't think Millie is a bad ride, Just not the end all of coasterdom.

Lesourdsville Lake, The great American amusement park opens the season June 6th Thurs-Sun every week. Park phone is (513)539-2193
Magnum is my favorite and I rode it first because I was afraid I would ride MF and think that Maggie wasn't as good, but I think I spoiled it the other way around. MF is still in no doubt awesome, I just prefer a few coasters over it. MF just can't compete with Maggie's airtime and all the consecutive drops. Although MF's first drop is obviously one of a kind, being pushed over that hill and the track appearing to disappear... you won't be disappointed.
I wish I hadn't had my only rides early in the season just after it opened in 2000, because then it didn't really have any airtime at all after the first drop. Still found it quite enjoyable, it's a kick to ride something fast like that which isn't over in 20 seconds. I hear it's broken in and gotten better, as many rides do.
Heck, there's nothing at my home park that I wouldn't trade for MF!

Take Millie's first drop, it's trains and combine them with Wild Thing from ValleyFair!, and you'd have the perfect coaster...oh wait...sounds like Steel Dragon 2000. Man I gotta get to Japan and ride that monster !
