But it runs like a slug when the blocks are on high. And even when i have ridden it without heavy breaks over the past two years it still doesn't have the intensity of say a Beast or Villian or even to a degree of the Thunder Run. It's just rough, especially in the wrong seat!

They don't need to take it out they need a new train and a reprofile.

meangene, was that bout mean streak or TG? I went to dallas earlier this year, it was running at above normal speed it seemed... hm.

Ive ridden my share of woodies (or so I think) and I still like MS. Maybe I'm a crackhead, but I love that ride.

I dont see why everyone has to be so harsh on MS. Sure I havent ridden too many woodies in my short lifetime so far but its a good ride. A 3 min woodie is pretty awesome and sure they really need to take the trimbrakes off the first drop but its still fun. Or maybe I'm just messed up

I fuss all the time about MS usually saying that there's nothing wrong with MS that a couple of appropriately positioned sticks of dynamite couldn't cure. BUT I will admit that I ride it and hope for a better ride each time. I try my darndest to pick out something good about the ride each time I ride it no matter how much it hurts when the ride's over. I don't see CP ever ripping out MS. Why would they? It's an established coaster and still has ridership throughout the season. Sure we'd all like to see dueling/racing CCI's in it's place but wouldn't that be kind of foolish to tear a ride down just to put two up?

This situation sounds similar to the one at World's of Fun involving Timber Wolf. When the trims are on the coaster is sluggish but decent. When the trims are off the coaster is out of control, a little rough, and delivers GREAT airtime. At WOF it is kind of a hit-and-miss type of deal as well.

Mean Streak is awesome. It's my #1 wooden! And guess what. I've ridden the HPWildcat, Lightning Racer, Gwazi, and the KWThunderbolt, but they do not measure up.
