Looks Good, Feels Bad!

Ninja at SFoG looks great but without doubt, the most painful POS in operation, hehe watch the break run from the midway, by the Scream Machine, and see the whole ride shake when it stops (since it stops you going about 45mph in 2 seconds)

I'd have to say Villain at SFWOA.

I disagree with Coasterman Mike about Mega Zeph and the G-trains. Zeph is one of the finest pieces of work CCI has done DESPITE the choice of rolling stock. It is "mostly" straight track, and less lats on the turns. The turns are where the G-Trains are bad, but they are tolerable on Zeph.

Now don't get me wrong. I thought the layout of Zeph was a kick ass layout. Airtime galore and those high speed air-lat turns are heavenly. I however thought the ride would run spectacular if it ran PTCs. The G-Trains are just so unforgiving and uncomfortable they take alot away from the ride.

Even though a ride is taken care of, those G-Trains still can be a big part of the problem. I give you the Legend as an example. Those G-Trains of old just beat the heck out of you.(which is ironically something Hostyl loved about the ride but oh well, he's crazy like that) Then this past year they added the PTCs and what you got was an incredibly smooth ride. Though some of the intensity was lost in the process, because of the shakin' that you recieved with the G-Trains, i'd much rather ride a smooth coaster then a rough one.

Coasterman Mike - who hopes he clarified some things

Ninja at SFoG is definitely a head rattler... I made the mistake of making that the first roller coaster of the day once w/ a friend of mine and had to listen to him complain about his head hurting all day...

Ugh, the Psyclone at Magic Mountain. Looks nice, photographs well, but had NO LINE during ERT. No wonder. It's beyond horrible. :-(

"M:TR."

Not from your personal experience, but those who've ridden M:TR would beg to differ.

Or they would beg to get off. At least that's what Rob says.

Sadly, PKI's Vortex is getting this way. I used to run to this coaster at opening, and now it's my least favorite in the park. The mid-course slows it down to an almost painful crawl through the screws. Needless to say, it's big brother Shockwave also was beautiful but deadly.

I thought Iron Wolf was very smooth, much better than Mantis. I've also never had an issue with Villain being rough, just boring. Ninja at SFoG was fantastic the day I rode it. And how can anyone call the Bull rough?

I would have to go with SOB, it looks sweet, but is painful. Also, I liked my rides on Meanstreak and MagnumXL-200.

....but they NEVER seem to run back in line for another ride...M:TR is the "Rhino Rally of the Left Coast" from what *I* hear...;)

On to the REAL topic: Revolution, SDL's *evil twin*...a ride of its historical importance should definitely be repaired. Revised restraints and reduced braking, and it could be as good a ride as SDL still is...I did have SFoG's Ninja in this category, but with some good advice here, I learned to make the ride MUCH more enjoyable...PKI's Vortex, oddly enough, I find enjoyable BECAUSE the corks are taken SO slowly...go figure!

Psyclone, still runs fast enough to hurt you as it bounces (literally) through the course....an abomination! Mean Streak, who knows, *could* be this bad, but just runs too slow to even find out...SoB *did* fit the topic at one point INO, but not after THIS year's rides...

Talk about 'painting a pretty picture.' I'm probably going to have nightmares about that one.

Definitely EuroStar. That thing looks amazing and has an awesome layout but it rides like sh*t.

Coasterman Mike: Yes, I find the Gerstaultlers uncomfortable, and prefer the PTC's. All Iw as saying is that the layout of Mega Zeph makes the Gerstaultlers tolerable, unlike let's say Legend where the layout kicked your ass because of the lack of comfort.
