Lean year for coaster riding?

i don't post much... but this season is probably my most inactive on the boards and at parks. I went to Rye Playland once, and until now that is the extent of my season. 3 coasters... and only one of which is kind of decent. However, for a long weekend in September i'm going down to BGW and PKD. Hoping to get alot of rides in then :D. I still haven't had a chance to ride Drop Zone. I'm REALLY looking forward to this trip.
lean as hell. maybe one visit, but nothing else, work and school in the summer suck major :(
I went to Lakeside for about 45 minutes. Two spins each on the Cyclone and the Wild Chipmunk. Still have hope of making it to SFEG. Now aren't you all jealous?

Why again did I move from central Ohio? Oh yeah, those big hilly kind of things off in the distance. ;)

Yeah is Good!
I've actually had my best year yet (although it doesn't really compare to some of the other 'good years' that you guys speak of, but its good relative to me). I went to SFA, BGW, DP 3 times, HP, and CP for a week (with a planned trip in October). It was my first time to DP and BGW and the first time to Hershey in over 10 years (I'm only 17 lol). All in all, I actually had an impressive year (by my standards).
You wouldn't be able to find "new-to-you" coasters if parks didn't build more each year, Campanella. ;)

I've got a new baby, so last season I was sidelined halfway thru and this one has been kind of lean. I did manage Hershey 2x, SFGadv
a handful, and DelGrosso's Crazy Mouse. Hitting CP with the family for CoasterMania.

-Danny,

While that may be semi-true, I still maintain that I now have a life! ;)

Joe "no, no, it's true!" C.

OMG I have a new sig!!!
-Danny... LOL, you're still my dawg, bithc! ;)

It has been a lean year for new-to-me coasters as well as I've only racked up 11 compared to 2003's 30 and 2002's 21. I haven't been to a single new-to-me park this season although I was 5 minutes from Lake Winnie and a closed, slightly flooded Idlewild away from getting inside. :(

Yay for that (hopefully) changing in a few weeks at Knoebels.

It was a very lean year for us. We (husband and I) usually make it to about 16-20 parks in a season. This year we only got 8. Other than the 2 week trips we take, we're limited to every other weekend (have to work every other weekend). This season, it seemed like every weekend we normally would have made a coaster trip, it rained. And we're quite flexible. We take 3 day weekends - drive Saturday, coaster Sunday, drive home Monday. We check weather on Friday, pick a place that has good weather, make some reservations and off we go. There were weeks this year that it rained everywhere we could get to within a 12-14 hr. drive. It's one of the worst seasons I can remember. The only new coaster I added this year was Storm Runner. I agree with medusa3232 - that is one great coaster! It saved the season from being a total wipe out.
Very lean year yes! But considering all the trips I have taken in previous years, including Europe it was time for a break. It was just too insane of a pace before.

I did go to Florida this year and finally got on the Dania Beach Hurricane which I really liked. And was at both Mummy ride's opening day. And I did my usual weekly Disneyland visits throughout the summer although not as many visits to KBF as I would have liked. But it was still a pretty good year. Not sure what my plans are next year yet..but it may be a bigger deal again.
