Lean year for coaster riding?

I was wondering if any one else was having a lean coaster season this year? I have only been to two parks this year. The parks are SFA in Largo,MD and my home park,Oaks Park in Portland,OR. It doesnt' look like I will even be able to make it up to the PNE/Playland in Vancouver,BC to ride Coaster this year.

Lets' bring back Portland,Oregons' Jantzen Beach Big Dipper(1928-1970)Oregon needs some good wood!
I've had a lean year (compared to last year)...only 3 visits to SFGadv, two to Hershey, and one to BGW.

Last year I made multiple visits to SFGadv...two to Hershey, one to Dorney...ok so maybe it wasn't a "lean" year...just less visits to Six Flags than I would have liked ;)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

In terms of visits, I've had a lean year. Each park I've been to (with the shocking exception of the 500-miles-away Cedar Point) I've only been to once, my home park (SFGAdv) included.

On the other hand, I've been to a lot of parks this year that I'd never been to before, and gotten a lot more coasters than I did last year. Since the start of the season, I've tacked on 31 new coasters, which is the most I can ever remember riding in one season. All in all, I'd call it a productive year.

I've had a lean year due to my employment, though I did get to go to SFNO on a business trip last weekend. Their mouse was excellent by the way, running really fast.

i only been to SFA twice this year. I almost went to PKD, but it was rainy. I also almost went to CP. I had a very lean year.

I've only been to one park this year. It was Hershey. I was busy trying to get ready to go off to college. It was the leanest year I've had since I've become an enthusiast. Hopefully next year will be better.
I've made it to 8 different parks this year, 3 new to me. Been to Kennywood 3 times, Idlewild 10 times, and DelGrosso's 3, all the rest just once.

While I haven't visited my homepark (SFGAm) as often as last year, I've made trips out to SFOG, SFSTl, and the Dells this year. Lean by some people's standards, but I'm satisfied.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

To me, getting to a new park every year besides frequent visits to SFGadv and Kennywood is not 'lean'. But this year, I went to 9 new parks and probably gonna hit up two more before old man winter sets in. Ive racked up 40 new coasters this season (and counting). This by far is my 'MVP' year. *** Edited 9/4/2004 11:27:37 PM UTC by coy***

You won't see me coming...

Because I am only 16 I don't have much control over where I go. I have only been on 39 coasters in my life. So a good year for me would be a lean year for the average person here. Only went to my home park this year SFNE two times this year.

-Eric: Major Parks: SFNE(homepark), SFA,SFGADV,CP,BGE,BGA,Kennywood, and Sea World: Track record 65 different coasters ridden #1 is Millennium Force #2 is El Toro and than there are all the others

I have actually been having a pretty good year thank goodness. I am backlogged on TR's though. :-) I have been to more new parks than "regular" parks.

<-----getting ready to head off again for the Holiday..weeeee!

Pretty lean year for me too.. Only two coasters! LOL.... The Mummy and Rye's Dragon coaster!
This is the first time in about 4 years that I haven't had a 'lean' year.

So far I've been to PCar in May, PKI, SFKK, CP and GL in August, and I'm going to the beach(unless things change) in 2 weeks, so I'll be hitting 3 small parks there. Plus I'm planning on PPP, and hopefully a side trip to SFGAdv then.

I've already almost doubled my coaster count, and by the end of the year, I will have. But this is the exception and not the rule for me. But hopefully next year will be good as well.

But I feel for ya'll that haven't been to many parks this year, I've done that, and hopefully am out of the rut for a while:).

No multi-park Coaster-Quest weeks this year but I did get to two new parks and nine new coasters.

Due to my wedding and honeymoon this past May, I initially thought it would be a lean year. However, I can't really say that after two trips to Kings Dominion, a weekend trip to Dorney and Hershey, and tomorrow I'll be heading out for a two-day trip to Williams Grove, Lakemont, DelGrosso's, and Knoebels. Add to that a third trip to KD next weekend, and I certainly can't complain about this year. Five new parks for me, to boot! :)
Congrats Darth Vater..
:)
I've only been to Marine World and Great America....boo hoo hoo.

/\Um, Rob, You have a HOT WIFEY! Thats better than most of us, so don't think I'm going to feel sorry for you and your Japan coaster ridding behind.

:)

I'm only 15, and I have limited funds, so I can't just say 'Cedar Point HO!'(Thundercats. . . :D). . . but I've had an good year for me so far. . . I've been to CP, SFGAdv, GE, and Trimpers' down in OC, Maryland. I've ridden 19 new coasters(12 at CP, 5 at GAdv, 1 at GE and 1 at Trimpers')so I'm doing pretty good I suppose. I've only ridden 32 in my life. . . that's bad.

-Adam

At 15 you've ridden more coasters than I did @ that age, so, no, not that bad. I know how it is to want to go ride, and not live close to a bunch of parks. Oh to have lived in fla, or SoCal at that age, but, hey, we can't all be mOOSh or gator.
