Lean year for coaster riding?

I finally went to SCBB this past February, I'm happy. I've also done my local parks several times this year.
This was naturally my best year so far as I hit SFGAm, SFMM and CP with my past park experiences being two Finnish parks, EuroDisney and Port Aventura in Spain.

Too bad it can't last - 2005 will probably be completely different story. I'm a little saddened by the fact that my encounter with American parks will probably remain my last for many, many years to come.

This has been my best year so far. I've hit 13 different parks, including 4 in California for the first time, and I'll be adding Dollywood next weekend. Also because of the change in my job responsibilities, which includes no weekend work for the first time since I was 15, I've been able to get to Dorney more times than ever. The odd thing is for the first time in several years, I didn't get to Cedar Point:(.

Dollywood, SFOG, and Lake Winnie this year for me.

At least I got a new credit(Thunderhead).

Indiana Beach and one trip to Holiday World. That's it for me this year. Didn't even buy a SFStL season pass this year. Burnt out, I guess. Probably have to make up for it with a winter trip to IoA or someplace warm.
Pretty Lean here, mostly to do with the work schedule. The plan was hit at least 3 new parks memorial day weekend, which didn't happen. Our summer went like this, GL a few times mostly for the water park, Waldameer, CLP twice, PKI for 2 days, and KW back in June, We still haven't hit CP yet, which we generally hit at least 10 plus time.
BEST YEAR EVER. Two 2 week long trips to CP from NYC. 5 or 6 SFgadv trips, 1 Dorney, 4 Hershey, 1 SFNE, 3 IOA, 1 Epcot, 2 USF, 1 Sea World. No end in sight, I got another SFNE trip planned along with a stop at Lake Compounce. 1 more dorney and SFgadv trip before the close of the season. Then, As the offseason is going to start to lay it on me, Planned a major trip in the end of December for hopefully the opening of Silver bullet on the west coast. SFMM, Knotts, DCA, and probably some more yet unconfirmed. This is 1 of the best coaster years I have had. It seems like its been just non stop riding.

This has been a good year for me. I hit my local parks, SFEG and Lakeside in Denver. I rode the Giant Dipper at Belmont, and finally got a ride on X at SFMM while I was in California. On the way to school I was able to go to SFOT for the first time. I am headed to CP for the first time in a couple weeks, and I am sure that I will make the short trip to SFNO sometime this fall. Overall, not too shabby considering that half my summer was taken up by NROTC training.

This year has been rather light for me too. I went to BGW opening weekend and Hershey Memorial Day Weekend...and that was it. With my sister's wedding at the beginning of summer and house hunting more recently (close on 9-22 woo-hoo!!!) there hasnt even been the time for me to miss coastering. I wonder if SFGAdv is having their celebration this year. We've been the past two years and the crowds have been so light that a return trip would be intriguing.

2 trips to hershey, 2 trips to coastaway cove and 2 trips to wonderland (both in ocean city, nj), And like 5 trips to moreys piers in wildwood and then i spent a week down there. 15 trips to sfgadv. Thats about the same as it is every year. O add 1 to wildwood im leaving in 15 mins!
Yeah, light for me as well in the fact that I've only added nine new-to-me coasters this year. But I've still managed to get to a lot of old favorites! Nowhere like it used to be in 99 - 03 though.

OMG I have a new sig!!!
It wasn't too lean for the MiG crew as we got to a lot of parks (granted there are a lot of parks in the midwest).

Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney Studios Florida, Busch Gardens Tampa, Sea World Orlando, Islands of Adventure, Universal (NBC) Studios Florida, Six Flags over Georgia, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, Six Flags St. Louis, Adventureland, Joyland, Camp Snoopy (MOA), Valleyfair, Silver Dollar City, Celebration City, White Water (Branson), Dollywood, Cedar Point, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Paramount's Kings Island, Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, Big Surf, Arnold's Park, Indiana Beach, Six Flags Great America

It's been a slow year for me as well.

Last year I got in a 2 day trip to Cedar Point, 1 day at Kennywood, a 2 day trip to Hershey, between 7 and 10 trips to BGW (season pass to this park), and atleast 15 trips to PKD (season pass to here as well). Also 1 trip to SFA.

This year, I have been to BGW twice, and PKD *maybe* 6 times at the most. And, of the possible 6 times at PKD, I have only stayed for, at most, 5 - 6 hrs. Also, like last year, I have been to SFA once but hope to go atleast 1 more time.

We've had a darn good year with a couple more trips to come. We've been to

CP (2 times) GL (2 times), Kennywood (2 times), Hershey, Dorney (CoasterMadness), Knoebels, Vegas, KBF (Solace), Scandia, Adventure City, SFMM, DCA, Waldameer (2 times), PKI, Idlewild. I added about 37 new coasters while my hubby racked up over 40 new ones.

We still have trips to SFoT, CP (Coastermania), GL (Octoberfest and hopefully Haunt), Kennywood's Phantom Fright Nights, PPP at Knoebels, and Dorney. SFoT is new also and we are hoping for Shockwave to be open.

Leaner than intended, but still better than previous years. Mia, CP (new), Geauga (new), Canada's Wonderland (new), Mia again.

For me I did pretty good, for a 15 year old begging his parents. Cedar Point trip for 3 days, SFDL 3 times, soon to be 4, Great Escape, Six Flags New England, and a couple of water parks.
It was a good year for me.

Dollywood(x2),CP,PKI,Indiana Beach,Holiday World,and SFKK.

Isn't this thread about a "lean" year, not bragging contests? Sheesh. ;)

I have less trips than everyone....but Rob! :P

In all honesty, it's been a medium year for me and nobody really cares where I've been or where I'm going.

Lean here too...most lean year since 1997.

But, graduating from grad school, moving, getting married, and getting new jobs will do that to you. Darn real life gets in the way of coasters!
