KW's Potato Patch Fries

I don't go to KW much, can anyone give me prices for their PP fries? I like chilli and cheese personally, not sure if they have that, but I would like prices for all varieties if anyone cares to take the time to post them. Thanks.
Patch Fries are great. Prices are pretty decent. One size. 3.75 for cheese or gravy or both. 3.95 for cheese and bacon. Kennywood does not offer chili with their fries. The sides of cheese and gravy are free. If you buy them plain. The ones at the baby patch are the same for 4.95 you get three huge chicken strips and patch fries, with a side of whatever you want.

Hope this helps.

Katie, who thought she was going to KW tomorrow, but can't find a bud to go with :-(

hey thanks, yeah that helps out alot. I'll be sure to pick up some of those cheese and bacon fries.
I recommend Baby Potato Patch mainly because you can get Chicken Strips with your Fries.

Fries, Topping, Chicken Strips and Med Coke. $6.00

Enjoy

Wow that's cheap for amusement park food. How much is a medium Pepsi by itself @ Kennywood?

Honestly I think it's 1.80, but will make sure tomorrow for you!

Well if you read my TR on KW, I ate three separate times there.

The foods more in line with HW or other small parks and worth every penny.

Even got the Belgian Waffle at closing with chocolate and strawberries as Rideman suggested.

Belgian Waffle.... ugh..... Just 7 more days, and I'll get one, Just 7 more days...

KW's fries remind me a lot of Sheetz fries. My friend's family owns the food distribution business that serves both KW and Sheetz, and he says that they are "almost" the same product.

Those chicken baskets with the fries are big enough for Two, easily. That's $3 per person if you share the drink.

Sheetz has fries?! None of my Sheetz have fries!
Yes, Sheetz now has fries. The newer built Sheetz stores do anyhow. They are very good fries indeed.

But, I can't wait till this Saturday to have some Potato Patch fries! July 9th is just around the corner...only 3 more days!

It doesn't matter how much PP fries are. You must buy them anyway, or you haven't really been to Kennywood.

When I was there in 2001 I wasn't impressed with the fries. They were soggy - and not from the gravy. I like my fries crispy.

My first visit at Phantom Fright Nights I had a similar experience with them, George.

I dunno, they were really really soggy and cold. I didn't get any this past trip either.

Just came back from Kennywood.

Patch Fries plain 3.60 you can add cheese and gravy for free

Patch Fries with cheese and bacon 4.25

Small drink 1.60

Medium drink 1.85

Large drink 2.00

Isn't it sweet, and souvenir cups don't cost an arm and a leg. 2.75.

Brian,

They aren't as good on Fright nights. I don't know why, they do have them in a different place. But, on any given day around lunch or dinner, they are hot out of the fryer and totally yummy. I had mine and still had a little grease on them. They were that fresh.

I've tried them on two different occasions and found them to be just as you describe them. I don't get the fuss over them either and doubt I'll ever eat them again.

Being that fries are one of my fave foods of all time I am ALWAYS up for some, especially Kennywood's.

I usually get them around the time they open (between 11am-noon). Although they are not the crispiest I never found them to be soggy by themselves by any means. :-P

I FINALLY tried the gravy and didn't care much for it, but I do love the cheese, garlic salt, and the hot sauce. Barbecue sauce isn't too shabby either. KW doesn't offer chili with their fries and I doubt they ever will (unfortunately, but I can live..lol.) The bacon bits is something I am going to try next time. :-)

I LOVE the PP fries. If I lived closer and if Kennywood offered season passes I would go there just to get a few spins on Phantom and Pittfall and pick up some PP fries. I rank them about the same as Cedar Point's Hot Potato fries (maybe SLIGHTLY higher due to more selections).

Both places should offer mayo, pizza sauce, mozzarela cheese, and ranch dressing as a side item as well.

Hmmm, does anyone eat ketchup with their fries anymore? :-P

KW fries = way over-rated.

Not even in the same ballpark as CP's fries.

Only ones worse IMHO are Burger King. :-P *** Edited 7/7/2005 11:55:06 AM UTC by tambo***
