^Sweet! I loved that hotel last year. The meal we had that Friday night as well as the breakfast buffet was worth the $200+ alone!

The nice black Silver Bullet mugs full of Hershey kisses that were *mysteriously* placed in our rooms was nice. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. They are SO nice and the rooms are pretty awesome for the price.

Sadly this year I won't be going, though. So have fun guys!

Oh, a note on hotel stuff...

If you're planning on going to Solace by yourself, the Days Inn around the corner offers great rates, and you can always buy in to the Friday night dinner/ERT with a friend who's staying at the hotel (such as myself or others in this thread who are staying at the Knott's Resort Hotel). That's what I did last year, and it was cheaper than me paying for the package, plus it's still a very short walk from the park - only about a block or so.

To buy extra tickets with the Hotel package it is $60.00 per person. They are adding those people to your room for the friday night event and breakfast passes for sunday also. So only a total of four ticket per room.

The Golden Rule - Try it once and if you don't like you don't have to go on again!
Made the hotel reservations this morning and bought the tickets for Sat. Missed last years due to circumstances beyound our control, but Belmont Babe and I will be there next week. Janfrederick we need to meet up
I have the actual itinerary for WCS in my emails, but unfortunately, my work computer is having a script issue at the moment and I can't access my mail. I believe it starts at 7 am. I forget the morning ridetime coasters, but the night time ERT's are on Ghostrider, and Silver Bullet. The picnic is at 12:30, and goes til 1:30.
Anybody else hear it? That is Ghostrider calling me! I was out of this event until 2 hours ago. WHOO! My buddy got off work so we booked the Friday event and faxed in an order for Sat just to meet the deadline! Heading through the desert from Vegas early Friday... The wives are coming down later Friday as those wussies can't hang with the big boys! I hope to meet some of the screennames I debate with (this means you jan)!

I'm the goodlooking guy who is normally somewhere near the back of Ghostrider hooping and a hollering! :-) I'm usually the talkative one!

On Saturday you'll see me in Camp Snoopy with the cutest 2-year old you've ever seen!

P.S. I hope those 2 girls who pooped in the pool (from Chicago area I believe) last year are not coming back! :-)

Okay, I have the itinerary for next Saturday;

Hey guys, in case anyone hasn't heard, I copied this from Screamscape(Hope it's okay to make reference to another coaster site).

Knott’s has set a cut off date to register for the Winter Coaster Solace event. All tickets have to be purchased by Wednesday, March 8th. You can call (714) 220-5218 to make your purchase over the phone.

So who ever might still be thinking about going to the event, I just thought you would like to know.

Knott's has changed their minds about this event so much I'm beginning to wonder if SnyderCo didn't get one *bonus park* in the SF deal... ;)

Where IS that rolling-eyes emoticon again? LOL!

I'll be there all weekend....just TRY and avoid me.... :)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

The early cut off is to avoid a repeat of the near disaster of a couple of years ago when the walk ups on Saturday morning threw a big monkey wrench into the luncheon, among other things.
What is the weather report? It looks nasty this weekend in Vegas...check that...it looks nasty for Saturday! Rain and a high of 53 degrees! They shut the whole park on my last visit due to rain! Cross some fingers...

Showers on and off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Of course! I decide to come out for a short weekend, and Southern California, decides to get rain.

At least the weather is looking the same for Philly. It would really bite, if it was suppose to be sunny and low 70's in Philly over the weekend.

Ah well, maybe this weather will be a blessing and keep the crowd down to a minimum.

Except for the fact Knott's is the only park known to man to shut down all the rides in a light drizzle.
Just to restate what others have already said:

The park has said there will be NO ON SITE REGISTRATION.

The park has also said that TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SATURDAY at the guest services office.

Everyone who's been calling the park has gotten a somewhat different answer.

I say that if they don't sell tickets on Saturday they will have a riot on their hands.

Both myself and a friend of mine were told also told that NO WALK-UP registrations will be accepted.

If you have not registered yet don't take a chance: fax your order by noon tomorrow!

Yeah, why take the chance? Just register a few days before hand, it's as simple as picking up the phone.

What if 75 percent of attendees decide to wait till Saturday morning? There's no way the park can prepare itself for that.

If there is a PR incident at Knott's, this time I'm with the park. There is NO reason to be waiting until the day of.

FYI, Coasterbuzz club membership will be accepted. That being said a Knotts-approved temporary "club membership" is available here:

If you can read this and you're not a CB member then here's a good reason to become one. My apologies to Jeff for the link to another forum site ;)
