Knott's 7th Annual Winter Coaster Solace

Which is why I suggested to Tek that he bring a map next time. Or at least print out the directions that I emailed to him about a dozen times.
If you'll remember correctly, Tim, I didn't drive last time, and Jamaal won't be going next year, so Nya!

Oh, and mOOSh, bite me.

Now did I say you were driving? No...just that I wanted to drive this year.

...but I did say that *3* people were saying "what if we go this way"... yes, as much as my ego would like to believe otherwise, I think I did play a part in getting us lost.. especially on that stretch near Knott's where I had us going the wrong way for about 2 miles or so until you pulled in to ask for directions..

Regardless, if you're going this year I'd love to team up with you again. I may have a friend from work going this time, though - so I'll be the one with the friend... see, everything works out ;)

As luck would have it, i will be off that week for spring break from school. So if i can raise the funds, ill be there.

I don't think luck is an issue - I think they plan it that weekend because most colleges have off that week/weekend

Im from out east and i know that friends of mine have it the week before me and also the week after me, so i guess luck does kinda play in my case. I dont mean to say that its not everywhere else, but it can make a difference like back here in Ohio when spring break is. But i still hope to be there, and see what all the talk is about.

Hmmm, I might actually go for the 2006 one. I was contemplating going this year but forgot about it until I started seeing TR's. Oh well.

I'll have to owe the wife, though, for leaving her with a 2 month old ;)

Just an update:

I got a response back from KBF, and they said that more info will be posted mid-January.

I find this interesting since it was posted mid-october last year. *shrugs*

Interesting to see they didn't include tickets with the hotel package. They did in the past, right? Anyways, that works out better for me since I have a season pass, but I still want to stay at the hotel.
It's been a few years since they have included Saturdays tickets in the package. The deal with the package is the Friday night party
Well, I don't know about the first 5 years, but last year the solace tickets were not included in the hotel package. However, last year it was $30 cheaper.

It's basically 2 different events happening the same weekend at Knott's. You have the Friday night event which is an exclusive for the hotel guests (and happens to include lodging so that you can attend Solace) and then the Saturday event is Solace.

Note: If you want to go to the Friday night event, you either have to be staying at the hotel with this package, or know someone who is and buy an extra ticket for you. That's what I did last year, however this year I'll be at the hotel, so if anyone needs tickets, let me know.

As far as I know, tickets for Saturday were never included in the package (it would be nice though *hint**hint*).

Tickets for Solace have never been a part of the hotel package.
I was obviously (and not surprisingly) confused. Thanks guys. :)

Well, I managed to make an arrangement where we'll trade kids with our friends for a day (their kid is tall enough to ride, ours most definitely isn't). So we'll see y'all there that Saturday! Woo hoo! We've wanted to go for years! (And I finally get to prove to Moosh that I am indeed married) ;)

By the way, about how late does the event usually run?

World's...shortest...post...ever. ;) Guess I might need a room then.

I live in Palm Springs and I get the room deal:
a.)To get into the Friday night part of the event (my favorite part)
b.)So it's easy, it starts early on Saturday, and goes late

I would definately recommend getting the two person room deal if you plan on attending, even if the Knott's Berry Farm Resort isn't so nice, it's very close.

I live 20 miles from the park and get the hotel package!
