Knott's 7th Annual Winter Coaster Solace

Wednesday, October 5, 2005 9:09 PM
I was browsing Knott's website, and I noticed that on their events calendar they have posted the date as March 11, 2006. I haven't been able to find out any other information yet (such as which rides get ERT, details on pricing, the usual package with the Raddisson, etc.)

Anyone else hear anything?

ERT will probably be scheduled for GhostRider, Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, Montezooma's Revenge, Supreme Scream, and Boomerang. I think Perilous Plunge has been an ERT contender in the past, but I don't know about next year's event.

IIRC, last year the Silver Bullet ERT was Friday night only - SB didn't have any Saturday ERT. Also, Jaguar had ERT, as did Timberline Twister.. Tekno & I skipped it for ERT, which was a shame because he didn't get on it later - the ride op wouldn't let him on because he's too tall, but told him they probably would have let him on during the ERT. (I tried to feel bad that I could get on and he couldn't, but as I hit those hills, it was some half-decent air time :) )

Bullet had Saturday ERT during Ghostrider ERT. Remember, we got a ride on Bullet as everyone was migrating, Tim?

Ah, that's right.. it was at night.. most everything else was in the morning, that's why I forgot about those 2.. Plus, my memory still focuses on the unfortunate set of events the night before between my 2 laps on Ghost Rider.. :(

Eh, well, live and learn. Plenty of sleep this time around :)

rollergator's avatar They always underestimate their log flume when it comes to ERT schedules (I blame the 'C' in ACE)...here's hoping that gets remedied for '06...one of the best log flumes in existence... :)

Diod I mention I'm already "scheduled to attend"? ;)

rollergator's avatar Well, if you look at PPP, I'm not scheduled there either.....just don't be TOO surprised if you see me there... ;)

Or, if you're lucky, maybe not.... ;)

Bill (scheduled to attend) is one thing. Just like you were (scheduled to attend) LCW. You going to pull a Frank on us again?

This year don't forget to get you pass processed this time! ;)

rollergator's avatar LOL, actually Craig, that worked out quite well thanks to Knott's GR. I actually recall offhand that the woman who helped me out was named Shirley. She was THAT helpful, processing my pass and mailing it to me.

Thanks Shirley!

bill, wonders how many Knott's passholders there could be in FL....this will be my third year with a Knott's season pass, LOL (4th for CF, none from CP)...I really am weird...hmmmmm....actually Knott's just has the best-looking pass... :)

coasterqueenTRN's avatar I AM getting a Knott's pass this time if I go to Solace. I think Bill and I just simply "forgot" last time although we managed to get a SFMM pass. :-)

I am not sure if I am going or not.....too early to think about. If I do I AM going to stay at the Radisson again. That was a KILLER deal!

As for ERT, I would imagine it would be much like it was this year, with all coasters included, all but Ghostrider and something in the morning with Supreme Scream, and then Ghosty and either Bullet or Xcel (my guesses) in the evening.

Either way, I'd like to go, I really, really liked Knott's.

boblogone's avatar Duh, I live here and got lost on the way to Casa Moosh from Santa Monica. It was dark and my inertial guidance system was malfunctioning...yeah that was the reason. ;)

At least I can find my way to Knott's and the Bus to Disneyland.

ShiveringTim's avatar Time to get my usual Wednesday-Monday block of time off for this one. If this one is anything like last year - woo hoo!!!

Yeah, but it didn't take you close to 5 hours to get from SFMM to Casa Moosh with 3 people who don't know where they are saying "What if we go this way?"

Ah, the memories...all-in-all, it was a good time. :)

Oh, and this year - I'm driving! ;-P
