Knoebels is expensive!

Mike, no big deal. Stuff happens. Now excuse me while I stake a few Twilight fans... ;)

Just a heads-up-- all Knoebels fries are not the same. The ones at the stand next to Power Surge are much better IMO than those you get at other stands throughout the park. I don't know why they'd be different, but they are.

Hopman, not sure if you were clear on this, but when Ensign mentioned flyers, he was referring to the tub/sail ride, not the coasters like Firehawk. Knoebels flyers have their own following. And the Haunted Mansion is just one of those things you have to do to say you did.

Carrie, I hear that raspberry ice cream cones taste better in July and August than in October.

Just read that Barbara Knoebel passed away yesterday.

Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.

I'm sad to hear that. Well, we should all make a donation in her memory.

Knoble's as a great little hidden gem, and she and her family have done a great job running the park!

The ticket system was one of the reasons why I was able to get to Knoebels last summer. Since it takes me 4 1/2 hours to get there, I had about seven hours in the park. 20 dollars in tickets provided the rides i wanted. Even had I stayed all day, I would have used about 10 or 15 dollars more in tickets which is less than the POP (when it is available).

The free parking was also extremely welcome for someone like myself who travels alone to the parks. Then there was the food. I especially liked Caeseris Pizza. It may be a couple of years before I return because of the distance but I hope to return once Flying Turns is running.

I know, Bear. I've learned my lesson. A summertime visit to Knoebels is in order for me next year. :)

I always get the tickets.

"but tickets are such a pain"

RIP!, here ya go... yea, that's difficult

And now, you can give some of that expensive Knoebels experience to your loved ones for Christmas.

Actually, tickets and day passes make a nice gift that get used when the toys are broken or forgotten, and the sweaters are old and put away for the summer. I've been giving tickets to my niece, nephew and godchildren for several years now, and Alamo GC's to their parents.

All of this Knoebels talk has me craving some of their frozen iced tea. :)

^ It has me craving another couple of laps on Twister & Pheonix!

I am not a Twister fan, but I will gladly take some Phoenix rides! ;)

That makes two of us, Tina! :)

(Though if they put a split lift on Phoenix I would really be over the top!) ;)

The only thing that could make Phoenix better is if they sent you around twice!

^ Been lucky enough to experience that. Twice.

I'm not going to agree. I like Phoenix for the old-fashioned feel, but it's Twister's intensity and unpredictability that I really enjoy.

Lk, that's why I LOVED Twister. If that thing couldn't wake me up after 10 hours on the road, nothing would!

I've experienced that too, Andy. Didn't even slow down in the station. Just sailed on through. :)

Only 4.5 months to go...

At the ACE Spring Con there this year, one of my nieces and I were waiting for my other niece and another ACEr to finish their last ride of the night (it was the final train for ERT). Their train came in the station......and sailed straight though........
